Sadly I've had to buy a new washing machine after my old one finally gave up, so I can't really justify buying Dynasty Warriors Origins like I was planning to (always loved that series!) but it's given me a chance to dip into the backlog so I've started Xenoblade Chronicles DE! Liking it so far.

Still figuring out what to watch in the Winter #anime season? Well, the AUKN team are here to help as they discuss the shows they're enjoying so far!

Randomly visited my local CEX shop and they weirdly had two games on my "sold as a teen but now want them back" game list in stock. James Pond II for the Mega Drive and "Sol-Feace" for the Mega CD, which if it weren't for the cover I'd have forgotten about it completely...

I mean I was always going to buy a Switch 2 anyway, I've brought every other Nintendo console since the N64 (my brother had a NES and a SNES, I had a Master System and Mega Drive...) but it was still nice to finally see it! Plus a new Mario Kart for the first time since the Wii U, technically...

The Winter season is fast approaching, but before we all get distracted by the new shiny #anime the AUKN team got together to reflect on their Autumn viewing!

"Star-Crossed is the final Ninth Doctor boxset for now and boy did they go out on a high..."

2024 was a rough year in some ways, my Dad's mental health continues to decline and I missed out on a Manager promotion at work by a single point apparently, but I've still really enjoyed myself. Especially finally getting back into JRPGs after 15-20 years... Now I don't have time to play them! 😩

Rare to see my website/blog quoted! Thank you :)

The end of 2024 is almost upon us, so the team have gotten together to talk all things #anime and look back on what has been an interesting year. Check back tomorrow for Part 2 where we discuss manga, manhwa and light novels!

Well, I knew my #playstationwrap2024 would have either this or P3 Reload as the top game given their lengthy RPG status! The other games were DB Sparking! Zero, the SW Battlefront Collection (mostly offline multiplayer!) and the first Kingdom Hearts collection due to starting the series this year.

Looking back at the newly released games I've managed to play this year, the vast majority either have "Remake", "Reload" or "Rebirth" in the titles, or are re-released compilations of old games. I know I'm 40 now but I didn't think I'd be this hesitant to try new things...

Finally completed Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth in a poultry 91 hours... Blimey... I wonder what it would've been like if I didn't have a full time job as well?!

Equal parts proud of this article and sad that I had to write it in the first place...

In Memoriam: Akira Toriyama, 1955 - 2024

Absolutely gutted about the passing of Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball was a big part of my teens and 20s and something I still love today. Felt like he'd be around forever... RIP.

Always fun to cover such a pivotal release!
