Good article on the “Abundance” agenda and its moneyed backers which is such a blatant astroturf for rebranded Tech Right Network State ideas but with a shallow neoliberalism Democratic veneer. newintermag.com/abundance-bi...

DOGE officials engaged in a security breach from the National Labor Relations Board, likely taking data "on unions, ongoing legal cases and corporate secrets" unrelated to efficiency, and then tried to cover their tracks. If they are doing it here, no reason to assume they are not doing it elsewhere

Hi, this is Marshal Philippe Pétain. I hope you're as outraged by the Nazis as I am, with their reckless and brazen flouting of the law. Together, we can tell those Nazis that they're not welcome in our democracy! That's why I'm texting you tonight to ask you to chip in $5, $25 or whatever you can.

File impeachment articles that are just direct quotes from the Declaration of Independence

This is also the reason they are starting with pro-Palestinian activists and charges of antisemitism. They as well as many liberals normalized them as legitimate targets associated with terror, thus opening the door for this kind of retribution. It’s a blueprint for targeting other activists.

We could ALL live better lives. But the rich would rather die sooner, than share anything. ground.news/article/stud...

Get a binder. A notebook. Trapper Keeper. Something with rings you can put things in. Helpful if you can zip or velcro it shut. You don't have to go to the store. Dig around. While you're at it, see if you can scare up some of those plastic sleeves that go into 3 ring binders. #AuntiePrepper

going to need to start hearing from governors what they intend to do to protect residents of their states from the federal government

Things are getting darker here in the US and people need to work together and build an action/mutual aid network of your close-to-you friends and neighbors—not just online. This roadmap for creating community is good. It's only missing the disaster prep angle which I think is needed with FEMA gone.

Just got an automated tax related scam call, which could be just a coincidence but it raises my eyebrow as DOGE idiots with criminal backgrounds have their hands on IRS data. Either way it is a golden age for scammers and grifters, who thrive in times of chaos and fear.

Timeline cleanse: US Postal Service is selling Goodnight Moon Stamps.

Every one of these games alone is worth the price of the bundle

These two posts: * “We need to treat antifa and BLM like terrorist organizations,” said Joe Kent, Trump’s pick to lead counter-terrorism efforts. * Trump to Bukele (president of El Salvador): “Home-growns are next. The home-growns. You gotta build about five more places. It’s not big enough.” 1/

‘Flack' ("criticism") comes from German antiaircraft guns called ‘Fliegerabwehrkanonen.’ This was commonly shortened to ‘flak.’ In WW2, to "catch flak" literally meant to be damaged by gunshots. We hope we don't catch any for this post.

This Day in Labor History: April 14, 1816. Bussa’s Rebellion began in Barbados, when 5,000 slaves rose up against the evil system of slavery the British had placed them into, part of the broader labor system of colonization. This failed, but laid the groundwork for British emancipation!

Most debates about What Democrats Should Do don't address their lack of an aligned media apparatus, policy support for independent media, navigating the attention economy, or year-round organizing. It's difficult to debate the potential effect of any policy choice absent these deeper issues.

Like setting up basic ways to coordinate with some trusted friends or neighbors is often boring and will seem like it's not doing much. In an escalating crisis it massively increases your ability to mobilize and literally saves lives.

Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor’s soulful analysis of where we’re at and what we need to do. please read it & encourage your off line friends and fam to read as well 🙏🏼 www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

The worshippers of Mammon praise productivity as a virtue—willing to sacrifice human lives, nature, beauty, and joy on its alter.

Every thing you do, no matter how small, to remind people that the wannabe dictators are actually sad, scared, fallible little boys is helpful. The more we laugh at them, the less fearsome they are and the easier it is to wrest power back from them. Also? These messages are effing hilarious.

My cartoon for this week's @newscientist.com

THE RISE OF END TIMES FASCISM My first major piece of the new Trump era, co-written with @astra.bsky.social. The governing ideology of the far right has become a monstrous, supremacist survivalism. Our task is to build a movement strong enough to stop them. www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

Wrote a thing. Maybe it's a thing you wanna read, I dunno. We'll see. *lays it gently at your feet*

What if basic mid was your entire personality?

Authoritarians don't need to point a gun at everyone or engage in tireless, individualized harassment and brutality. The key is to install a dictator in our heads. A constant, bleeding feeling that we are being watched, judged, threatened, and surveilled as our worlds shrink and darken.
