Israel has become addicted to murdering children

Whilst Paul Marshall has been on a lengthy strop about 'woke', pouring gazillions into racist media, his hedge fund partner Ian Wace has quietly been creating and sustaining something of real, positive value: on.ft.com/403uAxv

💚 Today we remember the victims of Grenfell Tower fire eight years on and reaffirm our commitment to continue campaigning for safe housing for all.

Absolutely loved this #PlanetCritical discussion with @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social about the importance of building community to change people's minds & change the world. And I cannot recommend enough following @racheldonald.bsky.social for more equally insightful interviews.

🚨 NEW 🚨 In Texas, the gold rush to build data centers for AI is spurring demand for over 100 new gas power plants. And it is a "rush": some gas plant air pollution permits were approved by the state in just 24 hours. Get the full story from @joefassler.bsky.social‬ 👇

After the massive levels of Covid contract fraud, new efforts to crack down have to be squeaky clean to have any hope of winning back public confidence: #Corruption #Fraud Happily the minister at least said there'd be no outsourcing of work to consultants. That's now on the record

Huge congratulations to Dr Agnes Watson for being elected as councillor for Haughley, Stowupland & Wetherden, joining the 23-strong team running Mid Suffolk. Get involved: midsuffolk.greenparty.org.uk/about-us/get... Help Clare win in Bury St Edmunds: actionnetwork.org/campaigns/to...

💭 Dare to dream of... safe cycling for families in outer London! 📢 We're calling on Sadiq Khan to invest in the parts of outer London where it simply isn't safe for families to cycle together. 📨 Call for change by emailing the Mayor today: bit.ly/43YSUC7

🙌🏼 Huge win for the security guards at the museums. 🎉 They have received pay increases of 12-23% ✊🏽Collective organising works. 💚 Huge well done to the guards and to their union @uvwunion.bsky.social

Israeli forces killed at least 60 Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday while they were seeking food from a distribution point. And now the Government has admitted that it is currently training Israeli military personnel in the UK. Our Government is complicit in genocide.

Totally utterly completely indefensible

Speaking at our event, (ex-OBR) Andy King says that the writing is on the wall for another fiscal black hole come the Budget in the autumn. The Government is between a rock and a hard place when it comes when it comes to meeting its fiscal rules.

NEW: The UK is 'currently' hosting and training soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces despite genocide allegations, a Labour minister has admitted Read more on this story: www.thenational.scot/news/2...

Great to see a Green win, but FPTP is totally unsuitable for such split contests.

So ... We can tax the rich more ...

Expensive nuclear power is the wrong decision for energy security - consumers will bear the cost with higher bills. Focus should be on renewables and proper funding of home insulation #SpendingReview

Why does it seem like the sentencing guidelines for killing someone with a vehicle are more lenient than if you do that any other way? southwarknews.co.uk/area/nunhead...

I remember the stigma growing up in a working class community about receiving school meals. It’s even more important as the only healthy meal some kids get with continued food poverty. Universal healthy school meals have had massive positive health impacts in Japan. Let’s do the same here.

Ever-rising height of car bonnets a ‘clear threat’ to children, report by @transenv.bsky.social says - High-fronted SUVs are more likely to kill and are on the rise in Europe, with the UK an extreme example Story by me www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

When did you ever hear the BBC stating that it must alter “story selection” and “other types of output, such as drama”, to win the trust of Green voters, or of unrepresented people on the left? All the shifts are in just one direction. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

Just voted against the government's Planning and Infrastructure Bill after they rejected our efforts to bring in measures to build social housing. Sadly, this Bill is a charter for greed, giving developers carte blanche to line their pockets building luxury homes for the rich that most can't afford

Memo to Ed: nuclear is outdated, hugely costly & far too slow. Hinkley Pt C is already years late & tens of billions over budget. Nuclear isn’t zero carbon, it won’t be “always on”, we still haven’t found a safe way to dispose of waste & it poses huge security risks @sayno2sizewellc.bsky.social

With great sadness I share this obituary of my friend John Marjoram, our longest serving Green cllr, who offered inspiration to Greens like me who followed in his footsteps. John will be fondly remembered by colleagues, friends & family, & the people of Stroud. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

A reader sent me an LLM review of my article (cheeky!): “The author succeeds brilliantly in presenting a robust, coherent, and timely critique of the AI industry's hype cycle, its troubling environmental trajectory, and its questionable economic foundations." colinboyle.substack.com/p/the-green-...

🚨URGENT: Sign and share our petition. ❗KKR, the predatory US private equity firm lined up to rescue Thames Water, has pulled out. Thames Water is back in crisis. It's time for Steve Reed to cut the 💩and bring it into public hands. vist.ly/3n529qc

Transport remains Scotland's largest source of emissions. But it doesn't have to be. 🚌 Provide reliable, affordable & accessible public transport 🚴 Invest in walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure 🚆 Increase rail connections and ferries as an alternative to flying

If you think climate change has gotten worse during your lifetime, you're right and there's a good reason. If you're Gen X like me, more than 3/4 of fossil fuel CO₂ emissions have occurred in your lifetime. Even if you're a Millennial, it's at least half. 📊: @neilrkaye.bsky.social

Tax the rich.
