Spitballing: If we want more home-grown American engineers, maybe we should make the cost of higher education something less than $200,000 at 8% interest? Maybe more 18-year-olds would pursue these arduous paths if they were tuition free? Oh, no? That’s communism? Ok then 👍

Marvel: Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history Bernie Sanders:

“We will be charging China an additional 10 percent Tariff, above any additional Tariffs, on all of their many products coming into the United States of America.” – Eric Trump Two options: 1) he doesn’t know what a tariff is 2) he thinks voters don’t know

Not my ideal form of government when a rich unelected bureaucrat can buy himself the power Elon now has. Seems bad that we’ve entered the phase of political finance corruption where billionaire industrialists openly behave like they’ve just purchased the powers of the Executive for themselves.

Quit alcohol and caffeine at the same time a bit over 2 weeks ago Realizing today that I also apparently quit about 40% of my personality

🚨PERSONAL NEWS: I have just submitted my job application to Elon Musk & Vivek Ramaswamy's new Department of Government Efficiency. Having worked on the Appropriations Committee, my application includes an agenda that would bring real efficiency & cost-cutting to government. Read my job application👇

it’s funny to think we used to be taught that western powers didn’t stop the holocaust for so long because “they didn’t know” how bad it was, and not because everyone was a horrible little isolationist dipshit

The horror.

A lot of people responsible for poor decisions are on a press tour right now because if they didn’t, people would rightfully be questioning THEIR leadership and they know it. It’s weak even by normal left-punching standards. Zero evidence more Liz Cheney would have won this. The opposite, actually.

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” -Plato

The double standards are epic

Starting a phony transgender bathroom debate and hiding behind the guise of “protecting women” to distract from your attempts to push through the confirmations of alleged rapists, sex traffickers, and fraudsters at the highest levels of government is peak Republican Party.

Matt Gaetz's Venmo payments look like an organized crime syndicate

As a native Floridian with family in Florida: this is bad. Very bad. Pam Bondi is 2020 election denier and total Trump loyalist who has performed corrupt quid pro quo favors for Trump. www.citizen.org/news/not-bei...

Word of the day. Or week. Or next four years.

This coalition of enemies is going to explode eventually and it’s going to be glorious when it does

Here is a sampling of the hundreds of replies I received to a *single* post I made about canvassing for Harris. This isn’t “debate,” and it’s all allowed under X’s ToS. Why would any normal person subject themselves to this rabid hatred? It’s not a mystery why sane people don’t want to be on X –

Proud sponsor of both of these organizations! (The Lever and The LeBatard Show!)

Come for the intense discussion about why Democrats lost... ...stay for my rant about why we need Jamal Murray to step up his game right now (said with love, Jamal!).

BlueSky should sue X for not advertising on here.

Had this same experience leaving X. They’re desperate for us to stay there so they can have someone to hate on.

Private prison stocks popping +50% says so much about the moment we’re living in

Liberals are always on the defensive, because conservatives are always on the offensive. People can’t even select a social media app preference without being called “snowflakes” or “looking for a safe space.” Instead, maybe we should ask conservatives why they need to stay in their X safe space?

BlueSky just overtook Threads in daily active users, despite a multi-million-user head start. Why? Because Threads intentionally and openly throttles political content. Because Threads’ trillion-dollar parent company Meta (and its billionaire owner, Zuck) doesn’t actually want liberals organizing.
