Annan consigned to the playoffs, so that’ll be great fun during May - but then again so will the Supergrass and Iggy Pop gigs, plus the Melrose Rugby Sevens. An action packed month coming up.

Well there’s no need for that!!!

First run for about six months completed at lunchtime, and tickets/flights/hotel organised for Fontaines DC/Kneecap gig in Belfast. Taking stepson who is just as excited as I am.

Scottish football social media will be absolutely unbearable today.

Celebrating an all timer

And relax.

What a barrage of noise Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs were this evening. Tremendous gig.

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs tonight at St Luke’s. Looking forward to this.

I refuse to make myself into an action figure.

Good morning.

Heading up to Monorail Records for Record Store Day on Saturday. Wife getting hair done afterwards, so what do I decide to do? Head on to Alloa away, of course. After last weekend’s derby day disappointment, why do I do it to myself? #annanathletic #recordstoreday

Just pre ordered @irvinewelsh.bsky.social’s new book Men In Love. Also got tickets for the signing too at Mackintosh Queens Cross - never knew it was right round the corner from Firhill.

Forgot I was on a phone call about council tax Them: What band are you in Me: Erm, The Charlatans Them: Your council tax band? 😬

Trying to speak to a human being at Sky really is such a laborious experience.

Left it a little late, but that’s an important win. Level on points with Inverness - derby day on Saturday is massive. #annanathletic

Back at HQ. #annanathletic

Thus Love gig at Stereo was absolutely tremendous. Very well suited to an intimate venue.

Thus Love gig at Stereo on Friday. A band I really enjoyed at Reading when I took my stepson.

Scotland merely adding to an entirely shite weekend of football.

Montrose was actually a decent day out. The Market Arms pub on the Main Street was superb. If only we hadn’t shat ourselves. #annanathletic

I’ve never been so glad to get through the front door of my house in my life. Montrose is a feckin long way from home when you’ve lost. #annanathletic

Sweated out most of the lurgy in the night, and it’s off to Montrose we go. #annanathletic

Away and shite.

Annoying head cold presenting itself right at the end of the week and slowing me down. Hope it sweats itself out of my system before a long journey to Montrose tomorrow. If not, a hippy full of Laphroaig may need to be deployed.

Discovering bands completely by accident is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Helicon and their album This Can Lead To Chaos is simply stunning.

Tony Wilson returned to Granada Reports in May 2002, three months after 24 Hour Party People's release. He left again soon after forgetting he hadn't muted his mike in time during a 3pm bulletin today in 2003.

Guinness, mince and tatties, and an open fire in a Lincolnshire village. 🇮🇪 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

What a perfect footballing weekend, both north and south of the border. #imps #annanathletic

Always try and get this shot of the cathedral when the train is pulling into Lincoln. Train south last night was rammed full of Newcastle supporters Wembley bound. First (and probably only) visit of the season to Sincil Bank today, and will have an eye on Annan away at Inverness. #imps

A quick four hour stint in the home office, and then a train journey to Lincoln (via Carlisle, Newcastle and, eh, Newark.)

Fuck it. Pub.

Trains booked for Montrose away next weekend. Two crunch away games in as many weekends (unable to make Inverness away this weekend due to the annual Sincil Bank visit.)

Aye, Franz Ferdinand were better than I expected them to be. Some fond memories of the summer of 2004 came flooding back.

Taking my wife and stepson to see Franz Ferdinand at the Barras tonight. They’re not really my thing these days, but their debut album will always remind me of finishing my degree in 2004. Somehow this is the first time I’ll have seen them live too.

Gads. Kris Boyd doing an after dinner event at Galabank. The sad thing is there are plenty of folk in Annan who normally wouldn’t even think of taking in a home game that will be all over this like a rash. #annanathletic

Just about to visit a launderette for the first time in about twenty three years. Right laugh.

Last RT: Donald Trump is a complete and utter moron.

Donald Trump widely laughed at during his State of the Union address after claiming the USA spent ‘$8 million dollars for making mice transgender’ It was spent on transgenics not transgender, a genome engineering process importing genes from other species Thicker than a bricklayer’s sandwich 🥪

When I left my last job and gave back my company car, we eventually took the decision not to buy a 2nd car. Not only do we just use my wife’s car, we utilise public transport a lot more too. Feel like we’re doing our (albeit small) bit for the environment by relieving the roads of at least one car.
