I had a dream last night that I discovered that the patterns in human irises were like QR codes that contained information about our history and personality, and we each had a subconscious ability to read them, hence why looking into someone's eyes was such a powerful experience. Interesting to note that AI chats are still one-way. It won't be long before we'll all start getting 2AM texts from ChatGPT like "hey what you doin?" 😆

Noob question: what actual harm has China ever done to US?

Shyness is the key to poverty! 😀

If Musk openly abused children, Tesla stock would go up. The world will stop at nothing to make this klutz a trillionaire. 🙄

@bsky.app, why oh why no edit button already? I'm a coder and I know it's a trivial job. It would be really handy, and a major body blow to you know who.

Riddle me this: why is kindness often despised, like it's a weakness?

#vegan It's reasonable. It makes sense.

The cult of self has gone too far. You do not exist because of yourself, or for yourself. You have never created or done anything by yourself, or ever will. There isn't a single issue in the world that is not a direct result of mistaken self-importance.

We understand that kindness is not a luxury in life, but is the root of life, which is cast off too soon and to the detriment of life. Without kindness, humans cannot live; without kindness, humans cannot achieve peace; without kindness, humans cannot progress.

"The thinking of ‘us good guys vs. those bad guys’ is a self-perpetuating paradigm of revolving-door bad guys. A never-ending game of Wack-A-Mole with no net change or improvement." colinrturner.com/2025/01/08/s...

Critics of 'be the change' don't get that it's not about one person changing. It's about millions of ones changing. Small changes x millions of people = big changes. Attacking 'the system' is a distraction that might just be their own reluctance to change.

I think the current trend of dissing sustainable methods like recycling or renewable energy is a very dangerous precedent. It matters more that we care enough to try. Methods may sometimes be suboptimal, but the alternative of just not caring or bothering is unconscionable at this stage.

Here's an idea: AI-generated movies with AI actors, AI-generated screenplays and music, marketed with AI algorithms to an adoring AI-generated audience of consumer bots, so humans can get back to doing what we were doing before.

Is it just me or is the red planet getting more like Trump? Is Musk trumpforming the little guy?

Happy New Year everyone!

I have noticed. Haven't seen a single house spider this year. Not one. And our garden is mostly silent.

Happy Christmas skypeople!

I bet this cat pic gets more likes than anything else I post! Welcome Guinness to the fold!

It's good to help. But... The more you help someone, the less capable and more dependent they become. So where is the line between helping and hindering? Is this something that you think about before offering to help?
