My favorite bakery has really good melon pan and a locomotive

IT'S A CHOICE!!! DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO

If hardware is language locked and I'm shipping a universal ROM, does that mean that I need to disable all non-Japanese languages for a certain subset of Japanese hardware? Like, deactivate the option for non-Japanese VO and turn off the menu option where you can change languages on the fly?

2025 continues to be a banger year by resurrecting the corpse of region locking

Digging into old issues of PLAY METER magazine and finding banger company names like STAMBOULI BROS and KARATECO

New mission: find and consume Japan's surviving Virtua Drink

Oh my God why would you call it that "It's fun to play" -- Someone, somewhere, presumably

TFW you get a game to the 90% completion mark, then the publisher makes you switch to a new platform, change from 1st to 3rd person, add Hollywood talent, switch engines, and strip out all the motion controller garbage they forced you to include. This is insane, the game looks basically DONE

Random game Saturday: SPLATTERHOUSE (2010) by BottleRocket/Gamebryo engine. Excellent gore, questionable gameplay, and the voice of Darkwing Duck (Jim Cummings) yelling "FUCK 'EM UP!"

TIL Silicon Knights pitched a game to Square Enix about a detective with the power of SUPER SMELLING. Given that this was being made at the same time MURDERED: SOUL SUSPECT was in development, I have absolutely no idea what was going on over there. youtu.be/q2aGX4l2dfc?...

Hard Off, no! You've gone too far

Random game Saturday; Japan got a lot of great Apple II ports in the early 80s and this is not one of them. This Jaleco release has none of what makes Dan Gorlin's CHOPLIFTER so good. Was any of the original Apple II 6502 code used here!? Yeesh!!!
