The Fulfillment, by LaVyrle Spencer Avon, 1979 Illustrated by Renato Aime

Stepback for Night Way, by Janet Dailey Pocket Books, 1981 Illustration is signed "Jones" & I believe it's George Jones It's unusual to find stepback illustrations in Dailey's books -- especially clinches

Do we need another article about romance covers? Maybe not. But I enjoyed talking JeriAnn for this one: booktrib.com/2025/02/11/c...

I would tell Tommy to watch that left hand of his, but considering how they're LITERALLY in the middle of a hurricane, you know what? Go for it, you two. 🫡 "Cupid Rides the Storm," by Ruth Mooney (ALL-STORY LOVE, October 19, 1929). #pulp @collectingromance.bsky.social

Sage, by Nora Hess Leisure Books, 1994 Illustrated by Franco Accornero

Dreams, by Rita Clay Estrada Harlequin (Temptation line), 1998 Illustrator uncredited (which is unfortunate, because they did a great job with the hands!)

Congratulations @rebeccaromney.com on the release of Jane Austen's Bookshelf! 🎉 I'm currently reading it & am riveted. The Burney chapter made me look for a copy of Evelina online, only to discover I already had one i'd intended to sell because it wasn't on my radar as worth reading!

Happy Valentine's Day to all my single besties who think that fictional men hit different

Great new podcast episode with tons of info relevant to romance collecting. Also, can't wait to read Rebecca's book! @shelflove.bsky.social @rebeccaromney.com shelflovepodcast.com/episodes/sea...

"They sealed their bargain with the heat of their desire!" Texas Gamble, by Vivian Vaughan Zebra, 1990 Illustrated by Pino Daeni Do you know how many romances Zebra published with "Texas" in the title? I don't know, but it was A LOT!! 😄

Cecily, by Clare Darcy Dell, 1973 (reprinted from 1972 Walker And Company original Illustrator uncredited Always fun to find an older Regency

Congo Nurse, by Ruth Ives Berkley, 1963 Illustrator uncredited

Pirates and masquerades have been a thing in romance for a long time, okay? LOVE STORY MAGAZINE, March 8, 1936. Art by Modest Stein. #pulp #romancelandia @collectingromance.bsky.social

My foray into antiques shops today resulted in no vintage romance. It's ok - the empty hauls make the eventual rich ones all the sweeter. I did, however, happen upon this life-size cardboard Stephen King! I would die of delight to find something like this for a romance author Did not buy this, fyi

I'm off for a few hours of poking around in antiques shops Will I find some dusty old gothics? Some nurse romances shoved into a far corner? 🤞🏻 It's great to buy from rare book sellers & online venues like eBay, Pango, etc., (I buy from all) but NOTHING beats the thrill of book-hunting in the wild

The Vines Of Yarrabee, by Dorothy Eden Fawcett Crest, 1970 (reprint of 1969 hardcover) Illustrated by Robert McGinnis This has that toasty-musty-sweet-warm vintage paperback smell that only paperbacks from this era seem to have & that I wish I could bottle

Betray Not My Passion, by Sylvie F. Sommerfield Zebra, 1984 Illustrated by Oliviero Berni Some rare 80s romance cover chest hair! 👀

Loving Longest, by Jacqueline Marten Tapestry (Pocket Books), 1986 Illustrated by "Olivieri" Berni. I thought his first name was "Oliviero", but Pocket credits him with the "i" 🤷
