Our local supermarket is undergoing renovations. They keep changing where things; shelves are empty sometimes. So they didn't have Frankie's usual treats. I bought what I thought was an acceptable alternative. Frankie disagrees. I think he would also like to speak to the manager at Hannaford

Got this out of the kiln today. I think it's the best mug I have done so far. The walls are even. The shape is good. I love the colors. Pottery is a process. Not everything you make works out. But you keep trying, learning. Much like we all have to do in the present moment. Just keep trying.

Monday morning, and this mug just came out of the kiln. I've got 5 mugs waiting to be bisque fired, and I'm about to get on the wheel. Welcome to Monday. Who knows what fresh chaos will happen?

Caregiving is hard. Caregiving in the midst of the uncertainty and chaos of the present moment is even harder. Fighting back is also hard. So here's a mug I made. Fresh out of the kiln today. It helps to drink my coffee out of damn pretty mug I made myself.

Every day the news is more chaos. I worry about the people who will be harmed. We're in for a long fight. And that doesn't even include the stress of being a caregiver. I have no hope this administration will address this. So I throw pottery. This beauty came out of the kiln today and I love it.

This plate started out as a failed mug. I compressed it down to a plate. I tried a new technique because a studio member donated a glaze used in this technique. And made something beautiful. That is our job for the next 4 years: Make something good out of the bad with the help of our communities.

My latest creation. Sgraffito technique on the bottom. Obsidian x2 under Seaweed x2 on the top and inside. I will do more like this. Out of the kiln on 1/6. The day my sister died 3 years ago. And 4 years ago, a bunch of insurrectionists threw a tantrum.

Realized I hadn't posted pics in a while. I threw these 2 mugs yesterday. I am working on getting my mugs to be taller. I hope one of these will be a surprise present for my neighbor. She had a bit of a "sign war" with the guys across the street, who had a few big Trump flags flying.

NEW: After reviewing leaked documents, we have found UnitedHealth is strategically limiting access to a treatment for thousands of children with autism across the country in order to cut costs. Advocates say the company’s strategy may be illegal. www.propublica.org/article/unit... 👇

3 mugs and one little plant pot thrown on the wheel. All glaze fired and completed! Threw another mug and some spoon rests. Tried out the sgraffito technique on another plant pot. Because I can't spend the whole day raging about health insurance companies and especially Medicare Advantage plans.

slate.com/culture/2024... This resonated with me. I made good friends in World of Warcraft. I miss guild chat, shooting the shit while running a dungeon, a raid team of friends.

Completed mug. I like how it turned out.

"If I'm gonna have to listen to conspiracy theories for the next 4 years, I'm gonna pick my own." Notable quote from my guy as he tries to show me UFO pictures 🤣🤣🤣 He cracks me up.

Throwing pottery keeps me sane. Because living in a country determined not to do damn thing about family caregivers and the elderly is a daily epic level of stress. But that demographic time bomb is gonna get ya. So I worked on 2 mugs today and these 2 succulent pots came out of the kiln.

Glazed a mug. Did one on the wheel.

Hey! I also served 4 terms in the Maine House of Representatives NYT! Not too shabby for an orc rogue.

Cool husband and I made a Raspberry Cream Chocolate Pie for a friend's pie contest gathering. Won the Grand Prize:Best in Show! A moment of joy.

When I was elected to the Maine House, I knew my time was limited. We have term limits here; I had at most:8 years. The things we fight for are important. I decided I should always be training my replacement. Here I am with my constituent, Parent Ambassador and Representative-elect, Flavia DeBrito
