Struck by this shed at Wexford train station.

Used to pass these everyday but never really looked at them before. Mosaics at Bray station.

I'm 40 today. Same age as Tom Good.

People keep recommending Muriel Spark to me but not where to begin. Any thoughts on which novel to read as an intro to her work? I'm not into short stories at the moment.

Sam Peckinpah would have been 100 today. I'm 40 on Sunday and always watch a western for my birthday. This year I think I'll go with my favourite of his and rewatch The Ballad of Cable Hogue. (spoiler alert)

Heartbreaking listening to Radie Peat on the radio this morning. The strength it must take. Heart goes out to all parents of children with disabilities without proper support. Powerful interview. Shame on every member of ff/fg and those who voted for them. #speirgorm

Me checking my phone in the morning

Finally we'll get the live action Gordo Lighter spin-off we've been waiting for.

Bond as we know it is over. It'll be a 'universe' now.

First pancake is always a mess. It's also the onenI enjoy the most.

Confusing moment there confusing The Jam with Ram Jam. The world tilted but order has now resumed. Is this what the onset of senility feels like?

This will be great. Had the good fortune to get know Sam last year. A marvellous poet.

If anything survives the coming armageddon I hope it's this image so that future/ET archaeologists assume we once worshiped him. I remember the excitement of seeing the diceman in town as a kid.

Is it possible to be IN love with coriander? Because I think I might be.

Realise I'm a few weeks late to the party but have been listening to Dylan in the car and wondering why

Instead of a Bob Dylan biopic someone should have made a movie of Black Diamond Bay. Or a movie of shorts based on some songs. Too late now.

4 yr old walking around with eyes closed complaining he can't see anything. I politely explained why that might be and, not amused, he replied, 'I know that, Dada, I'm talking about my imagination.'

I bought a secondhand camera for a significant birthday coming up. Calling it my 'dad camera' but genuinely excited about playing with it. I studied photography as part of my undergrad but that was 20 yrs ago so have a lot to relearn. Anyway, obsessively checking DHL tracking.

Didn't happen. But I won't lose that hope. There's always next week.

Tonight I hope to watch The Straight Story.

Nice day.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs set in the Bridget Jones universe

Yeah I'd like to see a dinosaur movie not set in the Jurassic Park "Universe".

I'm reading Imtermezzo and I love it. Two of the characters stand around in "...mute bewildered acceptance of life's inexplicable cruelties." and I actually found myself nodding along. It reads like people watching in a busy restaurant. I recognise a lot of character traits. She's very perceptive.

Odd item, from my pov, on Clare Byrne complaining about the delay in added surveillance in Dublin in relation to litter?? The idea of a big brother surveillance state used to be seen as a bad thing no?
