We’ve put together an exciting lineup of short talks for #CRISPR25! Check out the full programme here: bit.ly/4bnAcqT 📅Don't miss out—register by 4 March to join our incredible speakers! bit.ly/3Amz34N @leopoldparts.bsky.social @durocher1.bsky.social @uweohler.bsky.social @erika-alden.bsky.social

We show that oncogenic LoF missense mutations in PPP2R1A cause in vitro and in vivo ATRi sensitivity in ovarian clear cell carcinoma, even when combined with ARID1A mutation. Good team effort led by James Stewart, funded by CRUK, carried out at @icr.ac.uk rdcu.be/d9BMa

cool work on co-translational assembly acting as a barrier to heteromerization of paralogs after duplication www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

We will be hosting the International Conference on Systems Biology (ICSB) in Dublin this year – 5-9th October icsb2025.com/registration/ #ICSB2025

We are now a joint lab ! If you are interested in precision oncology, HRD, Parp inhibitors, drug resistance, synthetic lethality and studying these things both clinically and pre-clinically contact us.

Great lab, great topic, great place to live and work - highly recommended!

interesting attempt to benchmark methods for predicting synthetic lethality. puts effort into different sampling strategies for sampling 'negatives' (non-SL pairs) but to me the most interesting analysis is in the supplement (supp table 10) www.nature.com/articles/s41...

A pair of graphs I think about a lot. On the topic of pooled CRISPR screens, the left is "replicate correlation" when simply examining the abundance of guide RNAs, i.e. log-normalized read counts. On the right is taking those same data and subtracting from a common starting point, i.e. pDNA.

Abstract submissions are still open for the CSHL Network Biology meeting in March 11 - 15 2025 (abstract deadline: Jan 10). A large fraction of talks will be selected from the abstracts. On behalf of the organizers, we look forward to welcoming you there. meetings.cshl.edu/meetings.asp...

okay, we're here now and we are looking to recruit a PhD student to use systems / integrative approaches to understand the role of paralogs in disease. More details here: cancerdata.ucd.ie/vacancies/
