This is what a rigged economy looks like: In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker. In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker. This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker. That has got to change.

The boy is now collecting physical copies of comic books! 🎉🥳 He’s been reading the new Ultimate line of Marvel Comcis digitally for awhile now and decided he wants to own them. So I took him to Pennyworths yesterday and Heroes today, where I landed a few OOP trades I’ve been looking for as well.

More incredible Galactus related John Paul Leon art. #comics #art

Oh god my wife is gonna kill me. I just won another piece on Heritage… but it checked so many boxes for me that I couldn’t pass up a color Alex Maleev piece at that price. ☑️ Nova ☑️ Silver Surfer ☑️ Galactus

Buy my stuff!!

Finished Tom King and Barney Bagenda’s 2015 Omega Men last night. What a wild ride. Makes me want to go back and read the original Omega Men run of the 80’s.

Blue Blazes! It was the inside front cover art to the trade paperback... sold for $75,000!!!

Going back to the classics… Listening to the Marvel Reread Club podcast, one of the guys called this Steve Ditko Doctor Strange story that began in Strange Tales #130 the first Marvel Comics epic, encompassing 12 issues of the title. Figured this is a good way to spend the weekend.

Remembering the late artist George Tuska, born on this date in 1916. When I was a kid, he was *the* Iron Man artist, so to have worked with him during my mid-'70s run on Captain Marvel was a career highlight. Seeing what he’d done with my words made my inner child happy.

When I bought the first EMPOWERED comic book I thought it would be a bit of fun with some pretty art. 15+ years later Emp, Thugboy, Ninjette, and the caged cosmic Demonwolf had become some of the most well-rounded and relatable characters I’d enjoyed reading. Congrats on a great run Adam Warren!

Update: I will have a few CDs and a VERY few vinyl LPs for sale. First come, first served. Hope to see some of you in a few hours.

It comes around faster ever year. Happy #AlienDay to those who celebrate.

Blue blazes @ryannorth.ca you pulled real hard on those heartstrings in this latest FF issue. I’m not saying I teared up or anything… but I’m also not NOT saying I did either.

I love reading this comic first out of the (albeit small) pile I bring home once a month from the LCS. Give us an ongoing Black Canary!

Mwah-ha-ha-ha! Right after I bought the Super Skrull page, I found this Andrea DiVito splash from Annihilation Issue 1 Pg 13. None of the main characters but this was the result of Nova calling down a heavy ordinance barrage on the Annihilation Wave, which included some of his own forces.

Reminder: I’ll be at the Dallas Comic Show tomorrow and Sunday selling and signing copies of my book Buzzkill. The great Adam Hughes will be there, too! (I won’t have any Toadies merch with me, but I’ll sign that stuff too, if you want.) www.dallascomicshow.com/april2025tic...
