I am aghast, I say AGHAST, that Danger Man's surging, Edwin Astley theme gets replaced by a jittery, unconfident harpsichord tune for the series' renewed hour-long format. Instantly circling back to the half-hour episodes. ...wait - Astley did BOTH themes??

Well that's the Bond films effectively dead then. Broccoli and Wilson knew that the secret to the series' success was keeping it a series, not a "franchise", having firm creative control, and not glutting the market. All things that a company like Amazon can't possibly comprehend.
