But from watching way too much walking dead, you still need to think about keeping out humans with ill intent. So lots of poles. Most of which are not properly fixed and there's only one meandering secret path. Or it gets you so far and then the drawbridge has to come down for the last few metres

Does the driver do anything around trying not to catch covid or other respiratory disease? Just curious given their health situation. Not judging. I know the cognitive dissonance causes people to make strange decisions

I had to call yesterday and log reports on something I'd ordered from Australia because it landed in nz and nothing. Did not move for days. Did not go through customs. After that they mysteriously found it and started it moving again. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen it till after Anzac weekend

I'm going to have to partially disagree with you. Yes delaying infection spread until vax was good. No, trying to find immunity from a mix of vax & infections is not. Long covid is a problem. Other post sequalae like diabetes and cancer. Without measures to stop transmission it's never going to work

I'm guessing they don't have smart TV's? If they do there's a freeview streaming app you can download. No recording but still watchable

I think the reasons why Labour governments have not delivered affordable housing, are the same reasons that they do not support many of the Green & Te Pati Maori policies. They are aware of how fragile our capitalist economy is, and they do not want to be blamed & abandoned if it falls over. (1/5)

Perceived ability to use force, including mechanical restraints, may lead to unreasonable use of force and unlawful detention, which could be seen as being inconsistent with the Bill of Rights Act," the Ris said.

Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith told the Herald he "fundamentally disagreed" with his officials' concerns, outlined in the ministry's regulatory impact statement (Ris), which include whether children or young people - who are inherently vulnerable - will be restrained, or Māori unfairly targeted."

The Government's proposals to broaden and clarify citizen's arrest powers have no public safety benefit, won't deter retail crime, and could increase the risk of escalating violence, Justice Ministry officials say.

The aim is to expand and clarify the powers, which would deter retail crime because shop workers would be less hesitant about what they could do and how much force they could use.
