Important conversations today with leaders from business, government, and education at the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce legislative breakfast followed by meetings and a tour at SUNY Cortland. I look forward to being back in the county again soon!

Demand for food assistance is higher now than during the pandemic, and President Trump has cut programs that support our farmers, food banks, and school meals. We must protect the programs and organizations, like Food Bank of Central New York, that help feed everyone in our community.

A great day - and a brighter future - in the Mohawk Valley! Chobani's $1.2 billion investment to build a state-of-the-art food production facility at Griffiss will be felt throughout NY-22 with 1,000 new jobs and a major boost to local dairy producers.

Happy Earth Day, NY-22! This Earth Day, I recommit to defending the environment we all rely on. Not just for the sake of nature, but for our health, our children, and future generations.

Great to spend time with former Rep. Matthew Cartwright at his alma mater Hamilton College where he's helping a new generation understand how to make the world a better place. The primary topic students wanted to discuss was how all Americans can work together to uphold the constitution.

Wishing you a very Happy Easter!!

Infrastructure must be maintained and this financing allows communities like the Village of Waterville to make critical upgrades without placing a heavy burden on ratepayers. www.wktv.com/news/local/o...

The truth is you can’t achieve the GOP’s spending cuts without touching Medicaid and hurting our most vulnerable. More from my Channel 9 interview: www.facebook.com/share/v/16R5...

My statement on Donald Trump's dangerous defiance of court orders:

I ran for Congress to protect Social Security, and my office is here to assist constituents who have questions, concerns, or issues regarding their benefits.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are spreading misinformation about Social Security. I'll be on Channel 9 live at 5:30p to correct the record and talk about what I'm doing to protect Social Security and keep it solvent for every American who has earned these benefits. Tune in!

Having an issue with Social Security? My office is a resource - we've helped people like you get the benefits you and your loved ones have earned, including more than $115,000 for Kristina from Syracuse. Call 315-233-4333 or go to mannion.house.gov if you have questions or need help.

Elon Musk calls Social Security a 'Ponzi Scheme." He's wrong - it's a critical program that we pay into for financial security, and I'm committed to protecting it. Did you know that in NY-22, over 175,000 people receive benefits - including seniors, children, and people with disabilities?

The timeless lessons of Passover are freedom, resilience, and hope. I wish a joyous holiday and peaceful seder to all! Chag Pesach Sameach!

Earlier today, I voted NO on the SAVE Act. Read my statement:

I just got off the House floor, where I voted against the Republican Budget Resolution that calls for hundreds of billions of dollars in cuts to Medicaid and other programs. Let me explain in a video: www.facebook.com/share/v/12Cj...

Great to spend time with inspiring students from across the country who won the Congressional App Challenge and meet with the winner from NY-22, Angelina Le. Angelina’s app is called DoodleMind, which makes art and doodling more accessible to everyone, especially as it relates to mental health.

Families caring for someone with a disability often have to cut back on work or leave the workforce entirely. That means lower household income and greater reliance on support systems like SNAP—not out of choice, but out of necessity. My remarks at today’s House Committee on Agriculture hearing:

The $7.25 federal minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009 - the longest stretch in US history. I'm proud to co-sponsor the Raise the Wage Act of 2025 so we can give 22 million workers a much-needed raise by lifting the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $17 by 2030.

The reimagining of I-81 in NY-22 is one of the biggest infrastructure projects in the country. The New York Roadway and Infrastructure Coalition helps build the partnerships that build NY - and it was great to speak with their members, including many friends from NY-22 who made the trip to DC.

Progress in Clay! Breaking ground on new infrastructure to support residential, commercial, and industrial growth around White Pines!

I've been a longtime supporter of Clear Path for Veterans and I'm grateful for everything they do. At today's Canteen meal I shared my concerns about veterans losing their federal jobs and my commitment to protecting VA benefits that veterans have earned through their service and sacrifice.

Investing in education is how we build a stronger future for Cental New York and the Mohawk Valley. Great to see Say Yes to Education students in DC to advocate for college affordability - I share their commitment to shoring up Pell Grants and strengthening federal higher ed funding.

Maple is a staple of New York's ag economy - and today I joined the current generation of farmers helping the next generation have the tools to keep it that way. I had a great time at the annual VVS FFA tree tapping ceremony - make sure to support your local maple producers this year!

HAPPENING WEDNESDAY: Representative Mannion hosts Mobile Office Hours in Oneida County. Please join my constituent service team on Wednesday April 2nd from 10a-2p at the Utica Public Library for assistance with veterans' issues, the IRS, Social Security, Medicare, and other federal programs.

Officials voice concern about federal cuts to programs that serve New Yorkers www.romesentinel.com/news/officia...

Thank you, Rabbi Peter Schaktman, for convening an important conversation at Temple Emanu-El in Utica about rising antisemitism, the need for pluralism and respectful debate in the country, and the importance of protecting religious values from all faiths.

Trump’s EO stripping dedicated civil servants of collective bargaining rights is union-busting at the highest level. He’s targeting the people who send your tax refund and social security checks, who fight crime, and who provide services for veterans and farmers. Read my full statement here:

Extreme winter weather caused widespread damage to farms and agricultural infrastructure in NY-22 and NY-24. Without a USDA Disaster Designation - many family farms that form the backbone of our regional economy may face permanent closure. My letter to the Secretary of Agriculture:

I always appreciate seeing constituents when they travel to DC. At today’s Constituent Coffee, I met with Tierra, Katie, and Rachel, who were visiting on behalf of the Supportive Housing Network of New York, and Eva, who was visiting on behalf of the Ecological Society of America.

Women make just 75¢ for every dollar paid to a man. In a year, that adds up to $14,000 in lost wages. The wage gap hurts women’s ability to contribute to our economy and save for their future.

I am a PROUD 'Guardian of Medicaid.' Whether I'm teaching, serving as Senate Disabilities Chairman, or as a Member of Congress - I'll always fight for funding and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In 2 hours, the teachers are taking over the WTF Show on Instagram Live. Tune in on my Instagram, congressmannion, while I discuss the Trump Administration’s order to dismantle the Department of Education with my Education and Workforce colleague, Rep. Jahana Hayes. Tune in at 2pm EST!
