The sheer contrast in how the US treats Ukraine vs how it treats Israel has always been so striking. Both administration restricted the way in which Ukraine can engage in warfare while giving Israel unlimited scope to do as it pleases and now the new administration is bullying Ukraine at the UN.

The very simple answer to "Why didn't Dem's do this?" is almost always answered by "They didn't have the votes." "the votes" can be either GOP opposition of Dems who didn't agree what the caucus wanted to push, but either way 50 people need to agree + the House.
