OPENING DAY!!!

"We didn’t become the greatest shirtwaist factory in the world by resting on our laurels. That’s why we’ve brought in a new efficiency czar, Noel Skum, whose job is to cut unnecessary spending and roll back overly restrictive safety regulations." www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/tha...

One week! 🤩

I can’t believe a museum exhibition I wrote for is opening in a couple of weeks! ✨✨✨ www.fitnyc.edu/museum/exhib...

One thing about Kerry Taylor, she’s going to set a record. This French embroidered linen 'Merveilleuse' gown c. 1796-1800 just sold for £297,600. #fashionhistory www.kerrytaylorauctions.com/auction/lot/...

Completely enamored with this late 19th century court dress fusing Japanese textiles with European silhouettes. virtualcourtdress.glassey.co.nz

The sewing needle is one of the single greatest inventions in human history.

One of my favorite things about FIT is how you can just open a random box in the lab and there’s an 18th century robe a la francaise chilling for research and practice purposes

Shared what I thought was a funny story from school and people started taking it VERY SERIOUSLY, so had to delete that. The vibes were getting a little too close to Twitter, and I refuse to bring the spirit of overexplaining over here.

Really exciting semester ahead for my last term of full time coursework. Taking classes on contemporary fashion (basically fashion journalism), costume in fantasy & sci-fi, independent study (topic is secret for now), and also working on the MFIT exhibition “All That Glitters,” debuting in February!

Regret to inform myself that I’ve added yet another out of print book to my wishlist
