I just finished Dead Dead Girls by Nekesa Afia, a mystery set in New York City during the Harlem Renaissance. This book read like a noir film and weaved themes of history, racism, feminism, and black and queer identity into the narrative. A wonderful debut novel, highly reccomend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #booksky

I finished House of Frank by Kay Synclaire last night. What a beautiful tale. The world building, characters, story line, and message were done perfectly, and having lost my brother, it touched a sore part of my heart but still felt safe and comforting.
