Feckless MN Senator Klobuchar's office was hard to reach. DC and Metro offices gave me busy signals. Finally got through to the Rochester office and conveyed in a calm and clear voice how disappointing it is to watch her aide and abet the Musk coup by acting useless.

Rode the studded tire bike to work, so I could sneak some Minnehaha Creek ice in for a short part of the commute. Made me a little late, but maximum joy. Crystal clear in spots, riding on a fish tank with little brown trout darting under your tires.

The frozen creek ice-biking route: Frozen from Lake Hiawatha to Chicago Ave. Starts opening up in spots, with almost all water where the flow from Harriet dumps in. Then solid upstream until at least the city limits.

All my friends still call it Camp Snoopy. Their kids are growing up calling it that too. Think I need to work on re-introducing calling the MOA "The Megamall", the Vikings Stadium "The Dome", North Loop "The Warehouse District" and just stop letting them take our language and rebrand it.

Got the chance to be the first bike to ride on the frozen Minnehaha last night. Creek-ice biking is my favorite sport. Usually only a January thing, but this early cold snap made a December outing possible.

I went to Full Cycle, the used bike shop at 35th and Chicago. That place has everything. Needed some new grips for my winter bike, got some really cool dead stock ODI Mushroom grips.
