The Michigan Senate proposed Local Bus Operations budget for FY25-26 is $241.75M, $15M more than the Governor's rec. This would still be a $5M overall decrease, but it's less precipitous than last year's $15M drop. Now we wait for the House. #MILegTransit sfa.senate.michigan.gov/Departments/...

#MILegTransit update: The State Senate will release its proposed transportation budget tomorrow (Thurs. 5/1) in the Appropriations subcommittee at noon. Real question is how the House will counter it. One thing seems certain: We are not making the typical June 30th deadline this year. Buckle up.

yup

They really do just roll that fucking freight train back and forth all day at the Ferndale train crossing

A trip so nice, I'm doing it twice! I'll be attending the June MARP membership meeting in Traverse City and exploring BATA again, this time with better weather and my bike in tow. Save the date: Saturday, June 7th, 11:00a-1:00p 🚆

Happy first anniversary to Route 492! As of the most recent quarterly report, it's seen nearly 70,000 rides since launch and climbing 🚍

if you have to post a transit-style detour map and narrative for a broken escalator your building might be a little too complicated

I found you! TOTAN is of the better known 90s machines and my favorite to play virtually. Only two cabinets are still around in all of Metro Detroit. This one's in Clawson, the other is over at Terry's Terrace by Selfridge

First warm weekend of the year is always a fun time to watch the skies. Lotta training flights. That must've been fun. Hug the shore, VFR all the way up Woodward at incomprehensible speed

making plans to attend this because it looks fun but also because it means i get to write a blog post called "The Car Café | The Café Car"

Universe is funny sometimes. I just learned about Moka & Co today because the Maptime organizers offered everyone some and then accidentally ended up in their Ann Arbor shop mere hours later because it's one of the closest places to the Blake open past 8pm. It's good coffee, I'm not complainin' ☕

D2A2 really doesn't get enough praise. It's this region's one bus line that even most of my non-transit friends are familiar with and have used. Get out of work at 5, event in Ann Arbor at 7? No problem, you'll even get there in time for a quick dinner

Tomorrow on campus at Wayne State! 🗺️
