More people in my life are looking at real news than ever. That is awesome. Bit late. But awesome.

The stand up to hate thing is nice, but acting as though it’s everyone that needs to learn that lesson is unfortunate.

Any more, when talking to my wife about some of the terrible things people are okay with happening right now, I’ve downgraded my naming of them to “turkeys.” That at least takes a little stank off the chat, and it feels appropriately dismissive too.

My wife found a 5 gallon aquarium stuffed with 6 abandoned koi and a plecostomus while out walking yesterday. We’ve managed to - we hope - save one koi and the pleco. Sucks. But, it’s something.

How about a joke? I only seem to get sick on weekdays. I must have a weekend immune system.

This is all a lot for everyone, not the least of which for us dirty, dirty civil servants that have dedicated our careers to protect. I’m overwhelmed from time to time. I bet a lot of you are too. It will be okay. One way or the other, service to the greater good will be recognized as the way.
