Never change, Penzeys

Hey Riddle Riddle, of course

I'm in a small town, telling anybody who approaches "the ancient lore says you can open your menu by pushing X but I don't know what that means."

This is just common sense.

Achewood and Mary Prankster It's how I found out that @markgags.bsky.social is also a big Mary Prankster fan.

It's Pupatella's 15th anniversary so their original location is doing $10 pizzas all day. I'm shocked how many people were waiting for takeout as their pizza is really excellent but is best when it's super fresh.

To whoever created r/GirlsWithSternAuras after yesterday's Swan Boy, just let me say: lol

AI prompts keep ending up in published works of fiction. I spoke with two of the authors and got wildly different answers about what's going on. A third author, and the one whose scandal sent me on this journey, has no online presence and seems to be a ghost.

This is such a clever idea for a book panel. www.onemorepagebooks.com/event/be-gay...

I wasn't aware that Heathcliff was an EarthBound enemy but honestly it should've seen it coming

This felt like a stupidly busy weekend. I got to meet P. Djéli Clark and have him sign my totebag and I bought a watercolor of koi. No idea where I'm going to hang it, though.

USPS says my package was delivered to our parcel locker but there was no key in my mailbox. Which means the key is probably in one of the mailbox surrounding mine. I tried to submit a help ticket to USPS but they won't let me because it's too soon.

The museum I went to last night had an exhibition on Mucha and Art Nouveau and it included 2 Yoshitaka Amano pieces which was quite surprising. I've only seen Amano's stuff in books before so it was neat to see them up close.

Images you can hear. Though it's weird to see one not on top of a console tv.

Pretty cranky about today's Raddle. raddle.quest

There are times on Devil's Plan when I wish there was a clock or timer so we knew how long a game had been doing on or how little sleep somebody got.

I've never stayed in an AirBnB. I don't see the appeal. It's like a hotel but without the regulations or legal protections and sometimes you have to do laundry? Why? What's the benefit?

Was the last really good US National Team kit the sash from ~2010? It's definitely the one I think of most fondly.

The wind through my open window just made my blinds audibly snap shut and it scared the bejesus out of me. I had no idea they could be so loud.

Aw dangit. Aunty Donna is touring but only in NY, Chicago, Seattle, LA, and Canada

I went to Remfest on Saturday and one booth was selling a very @wombatarama.bsky.social poster

Does anybody else find it a little off-putting when food says "best if used by"? "Enjoy by" is too far in the other direction but "use by" belongs on toothpaste, not food.

It’s crazy I haven’t seen anyone talking about the Neal Stephenson book Diamond Age in response to “AI”. One of the plotlines is about a rich girl whose parents give her a computer “book” to teach her things, but behind the scenes the book is relying on a gig worker paid to nanny her via computer
