You'd think that'd be a reasonable compromise, but it feels less and less likely with each passing year.

I believe they renamed an existing group that already was funded.

Yea, it's a difficult sell to people who don't care about privacy or security. It's also a network-effect challenge, but the more people we convince to use Signal, the less that is an issue.

I have 74 flights logged at LGA, only 1 of which was post-renovation. There was a lot of suffering involved in those first 73 flights. 🥲
However, the new LGA is really amazing! They did a great a job and it's now one of the best airports in the US.

I gave Mastodon a real shot, but I kept finding it getting in my way.
I use Fosstodon, but if I am find myself on a mastodon.social profile and try to follow it, it doesn’t work. I have to load Fosstodon, then search for that profile from within fosstodon.
This friction does not bode well.

Watching an entire generation transform the term “free speech” to mean “unfettered promotion by the algorithm” has been tough to watch, as well.

The drive selector stalk is the most critical, imo.
When creeping out into an intersection, or to peek around an obstacle on a corner, it's been paramount to be able to instantly shift into reverse and back up if a vehicle is approaching and would otherwise slam into my car.

Such an obvious solution. Who would vote against that?

With Bob Gibson?? The guy Hank Aaron is quoted as saying:
"Don’t dig in against Bob Gibson; he’ll knock you down. He’d knock down his own grandmother if she dared to challenge him. Don’t stare at him, don’t smile at him, don’t talk to him."
Hard to believe he'd play along in that prank with Bob!

I check Bluesky fairly frequently, and so I noticed the same set of posts (Cloudflare bandwidth and Hindenberg Research) as new posts in my feed three separate times.

Another good point. Some of the most exciting moments at these shows are when the bands surprise the audience with a new cover, or teases from other songs in their own.

Good point. Any band who plays the same show, over and over, every night, probably would not want to be recorded, since fans would be able to experience the same performance at home. Only bands that can perform unique shows, night after night, can get away with this.
