never give up, guys😎

My only second attempt ever at planetary astrophotography and even though clouds are rolling in and out with light cloud cover, Jupiter appeared above my tree line and I couldn't resist. Next time I'll use the proper equipment, like my ASI224MC, ADC & Televue 2x Powermate. #astrophotography

Always ask the question. Every story I’ve ever seen of someone curing their cancer using “alternative” therapies has a “also we did the normal stuff” subplot right beneath the surface.

i unironically cannot wait until my classes start. astronomy 101 here i come!!!

Happy Sunday everyone. Nothing too special, but I did manage to get outside last night with my scope for about 30 minutes between clouds. Here’s just 7 minutes on the Fish Head Nebula (NGC896) you can just see it starting to come in. Blast those clouds (and my local light pollution) more time needed

making plans with your friends after high school is so difficult because you have the one friend who cant get off of work, the other that has classes, one of us doesnt have a car, and the youngest still has to ask their parents.

i went bowling with my friends last night and had a blast. i lost but it didnt even matter. i just missed hanging out with my friends. its been so lonely for me since we graduated high school.

I had a great time but your asymptotic complexity was super-logarithmic, I don't think it's going to work out

A spiral galaxy, observed with the Apache Point 2.5m Telescope in the SDSS survey. It is at redshift 0.018 (lookback time 257.3 million years) with coordinates (226.72246, 12.85868). 46 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo 2.

A galaxy with non-smooth features, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the COSMOS survey. It is at redshift 1.00 (lookback time 7.95 billion years) with coordinates (150.19282, 1.71019). 51 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.

Another part of the Soul Nebula #SH2-199 I imaged following my last post. This is another 24 hours of exposure across H-alpha, OIII and SII filters. Imaged with a 190MN scope and Atik 383L+ camera from the UK. #astrophotography #space #nebula

Earth from space.

i can’t even describe how crazy it is that we have an image of this. an active geyser… on ANOTHER MOON!!!

Space ring. This is only one object (a quasar) whose light was distorted from our perspective due to gravitational lensing effect, caused by a foreground massive galaxy. 🔭 🧪

A ‘Rose’ Made of Galaxies

Do you think you're sitting still right now? - You're on a planet orbiting a star at 30km/s - That star is orbiting the centre of a galaxy at 230km/s - That galaxy is moving trough the universe at 600km/s. Since you started reading this, you have travelled about 3000km

On this cloudy night I found this picture of Moon birds I 'captured' in 2019. 🔭 🧪 🎨 #astrophotography #SciArt #photography #StormHour #ThePhotoHour

"for someone who was never made for this world, i must confess, im suddenly having a hard time leaving it. of course, they say that every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. maybe im not leaving. maybe im going home" -gattaca (1997)
