We now suspect the witness summons decrease advertised may be a typographical error by the MoJ and it should state £24. Confirmation is awaited.

*MORE COURT FEE RISES FROM 1 APRIL 2025* Notably changes see increases to application fees (both by and without consent) & listing fees, whilst the cost of a DCC will now match fixed costs allowed for obtaining it. Fee for a witness summon decreases from £21 to £4. www.gov.uk/government/n...

Interesting judgment today from the High Court looking at the principles of appealing an order for a payment on account of costs and whether there was good reason to do so. Spoiler there was not! Permission to appeal was refused. www.linkedin.com/posts/costsl...

On route to Carlisle to deliver fixed costs training. I'm sure the session will warm everyone up!

Like buses! This time Claimant ordered to provide breakdown of medical agency fees else expert fees would be limited to a maximum of 25%. A definitive answer remains elusive. Another courtesy to @civlittweet.bsky.social for sharing! #costs #law #legal www.linkedin.com/posts/costsl...
