Here's what you need to know from our Economic & Tax Revenue Forecast: We see $3B more in revenue than the Admin in this + the next fiscal year. Our national and local economy remain strong, BUT decisions from D.C. are creating uncertainty, which could create inflation and weaken the labor market.

For #BlackHistoryMonth, we found this photograph in the @council.nyc.gov Collection showing the first Black City Councilmember, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., being sworn in by Mayor La Guardia in 1942. Three years later, Powell would go on to the United States House of Representatives.

Today on #BlackGirlMagicDay, we celebrate the power, contributions, and resilience of Black women in NYC and beyond!

Next Thurs., the Council will question the Admin to get public clarity about the long-term future of these childcare centers and learn what other centers may be in precarious situations in the future. It is unacceptable families and providers were put in this situation.
