I've started a Pokemon Sun playthrough as a Fairy type specialist recently. Even had to spend a few hours charting what's catchable and where on Bulbapedia. I'm on the second island right now, and it's been extremely fun so far. Even though Captain Ilima made me glad I didn't make it a nuzlocke. (:

Watched the Gaslight District pilot today. Holy shit. The story itself is simple but fun (a heist), the writing is high quality, but the visuals... At some points, it felt like a FromSoftware thing, reimagined in stop motion aesthetics. And the amount of chunky salsa on the screen? Wow 0_o

Decided to check out that new Black Beacon game today. Except, it got stuck on a black screen, and refused to do a thing. Whack. Installed Project Sekai instead - and this game has Senbonzakura, Matryoshka and so many other amazing songs completely for free. Also, Miku. And Miku is SO damn cool.

One of the things one has to learn as a writer is the ability to let go of a REALLY cool idea whenever said idea goes against the established flow of the story. It's always better to step back and rethink things, rather than try to shoehorn that idea into the story anyway.

Youjo Senki is a story that sends completely opposite messages depending on if you engage with them intellectually, or turn your brain off. Because Tanya keeps on winning, and keeps on having these awesome moments of absolutely slaughtering her enemies - which means, the story endorses her, right?

The one type of Worm Alternate Power fic I don't get is "Taylor Hebert with the power to summon characters from another IP". Because what's the point? You could just isekai the characters properly, and keep Taylor powerless, it'd be practically the same thing! Give her crossover powers instead! 8(
