PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST: Do you know of any schools that ban masks or force mask removal for "ID checks" or any other reason? Take 5 minutes to report any campus mask restrictions/bans: tinyurl.com/ReportCampus... Every submission helps advocates track and oppose these policies! More info below.

URGENT: NY Gov. is pushing harder for mask ban Take action, see thread The criminalization of masks is antithetical to public health & community safety. Mask bans disproportionately harm the most marginalized people, especially racially marginalized & disabled people. www.nyclu.org/press-releas...

"We're appalled by the claim that banning masks is in service of Jewish safety...Mask bans—exemption or not—discriminate against anyone who cannot afford to get sick, and they advance a broader anti-democratic effort to criminalize protest.” - JFREJer @levin.bsky.social www.nyclu.org/press-releas...

Speak out against a mask ban in NY! Our Action Toolkit has actions to take and key people to contact with their contact info. Action Toolkit at: covidadvocacyny.org/stopmaskbanny Please spread the word! Thank you for taking action! #NoNYMaskBan

🚨 URGENT: Governor Hochul is pushing a last-minute mask ban into the budget. Everyone needs to call her today and tell her you oppose any criminalization of masks in New York. ☎️ Call: 518-474-8390 📠 Fax: 518-474-1513 #NoNYMaskBan (1/4)

We’ll say it again: Criminalizing masks does not make New Yorkers safer. In reality, it puts our health at risk, opens the floodgates for racist enforcement, threatens to exile some people with disabilities from society, and undermines protections for protestors.

Gov Hochul is attempting again to ban masks in NY. Please call Governor Hochul and your NY State Senator and Assemblymember and urge them not to ban masks! More info: covidadvocacyny.org/stopmaskbanny #NoNYMaskBan #StopMaskBans gothamist.com/news/gov-hoc...

NEW: New York Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul is reviving her push to ban masks and is urging New York State lawmakers to include a mask ban in the upcoming state budget. This move endangers public health and threatens civil liberties.

Colleagues at universities and colleges: Please share widely and assist with this policy surveillance project! tinyurl.com/ReportCampusMaskBans #EpiSky #PublicHealth #COVID #Advocacy #Academia

Recently I went to the state capital to testify against a mask ban bill in Maryland. As we await updates, I hope this is educational to hear if you’re new to the topic or encourages you to speak out in the future. It's not over until it's over everywhere. Nobody is free until all of us are free.

NEW: CSC is launching a policy report form to track campus mask bans and restrictions being proposed or implemented at universities/colleges across the US. If you care about pandemics, privacy, protests, and Palestine, help us spread the word and track these policies. tinyurl.com/ReportCampus...
