June 12th, 1982: Dr. Fujita witnessed his only tornado near Bennett, Colorado. The F3 was one of a few tornadoes spawned by a thunderstorm east of Denver. "Mr. Tornado" observed this twister during the NCAR's Joint Airport Weather Studies project.
