Medicaid is vital. Many patients already lack safe discharge plans—too few caregiver hours, no help with meals, shopping, or meds. Those needing facilities wait weeks for a Medicaid bed while our ED overflows with patients needing admission. Cuts will make this worse, 🧵1/2

Dropped my youngest off at school after an appt. As he walked to class, the janitor asked what happened. My kid said he got braces, so the janitor asked to see them, cheered, & gave him a high-five. School funding isn’t just for education—it’s for lifting up kids & raising kind humans.

I see patients on Social Security & Medicaid daily. They already lack needed caregiver hours, face food insecurity, & can’t afford all their meds—leading to unsafe living conditions & hospital readmissions. These cuts will be cruel, leaving an already vulnerable population in hopeless situations.

We just got home after four amazing days in Yosemite. We experienced sun, rain, thunder & lightning, & snow! My kids became Junior Rangers; we hiked, had snowball fights, & played cards. We made wonderful memories. Our parks are a treasure & this breaks my heart: www.sfgate.com/california-p...

At dinner tonight, we talked about who we would cast for a Red Rising TV show. We realized we don't know very many young actors/actresses anymore. We did a great job casting all the older adults though. Also, our kids are total nerds, and I'm so proud.
