Just adding a little Emily at the beach to the timeline, in case anyone needs that…

Crickets, bamboo, a little light…

I can’t wait to hear this! (Was tied up during the airing…)

I love and believe this. And it also can make me doubt where I end a poem. Have I said enough? What is enough? How much can be learned from what’s left unsaid?

@scryptkeeper.bsky.social This is so cool! Thank you for thinking about my poem! I’m honored and giddy!

What keeps me sane as the world unravels? The poetry of @cphillipspoet.bsky.social, @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social, @ilyakaminsky.bsky.social, so many others. Contra Auden, poetry makes many things happen, and does more than survive, especially in this time.

Those are four one-line stanzas. Though I’m trying to get away with a couplet effect, if that makes sense…

Thank you, and welcome to my strange little world…

I'm often fascinated by the images, phrasing, lines & language of poems by Carl Phillips, and particularly enjoy hearing him read - so he's my #lifttothesky poet with @brokenspinearts.bsky.social today. This poem is from his book Wild is the Wind

A fascinating poem by Jenny George from her book After Image…

How about a zoom reading this Thursday? fawc.org/events/wilde...

Carl Phillips.

I’m very honored and excited to be in this company!

In 2023, I was lucky to be able to work with @cphillipspoet.bsky.social on both a site for all his amazing books of poetry, but also on artwork that has become one of my favorite pieces I've done. Visit www.carlphillipspoet.com to learn more about the Pulitzer Prize winning poet and his work.
