Federal judge blocks Musk’s DOGE from access to Treasury Department material. Gift article, no paywall. wapo.st/3CQNnDN

This morning - “A federal judge, citing a risk of “irreparable harm,” has temporarily restricted Elon Musk’s government efficiency team from accessing a critical Treasury Department payment system.” www.cnn.com/2025/02/08/p...

They say they want to save tax dollars here is your billion dollar idea: give migrants a 60 day window to self deport.

Might as well save this to post it a million times lol

While Facebook is pushing every Instagram user to Threads, and Twitter is desperately trying to shore up its collapsing user base, Bluesky is picking up steam — currently nearly 24 million users — because people actually enjoy using it. Go figure.

Contemplation for today…. if you LIKE IT give it 💙and plz RP😘😘

This is a real team effort, fellow patriots. 🇺🇸

I’m excited about blue sky!

Everyone knows who is running this show.

“Trump’s bet? The media will do what it has always done: focus on the noise and ignore the existential threat Trump poses. Yes, Trump won the election; no, nothing about who and what he is changed with that victory.” Read more from @therickwilson.bsky.social: open.substack.com/pub/therickw...

@dansmolen.bsky.social hi Dan!

We will be told what is in the public interest!

It’s time for a new political party. One that doesn’t pander to the autocrats or the socialists, one that isn’t for company exploitation or profit at all costs. I thought the Lincoln Project might be going in that direction but again money ruled, people lost. Let’s first choose a name!

“The Senate won’t confirm them” is not even a wishful thinking response, it’s one that ignores what’s happening: Trump announced in advance of these picks that he expects the Senate to shut itself down so he can make recess appointments — which means no confirmation process at all.

The first rule of authoritarian politics is that there’s only one source of authority. Congress will be expected to give up its role in governing, particularly anything that restrains Trump’s choices and desires.

Just absorbing the fact that the first order of business in the new QAnon-inflected MAGA Republican era is to demand that Congress bury its report on sex trafficking and drug allegations against a Republican member of Congress who they're trying to promote to higher office.
