*Thee Sprawl*

NP (or rather just played) Fenn O'berg *in hell* Probably the least hellish of the Fenn O'berg, maybe my least favorite as well.. a little too polished future-noir soundtrack for me in general, but the D side is a keeper

NP Cotton Museum *Hatching Extraction"

Anyone remember this spot? I want to say the owner's first name was in the shop's name but that could be off.. pretty sure it was somewhere west of Chicago/Grand. Last time I was there was probably late 00s

Thurston just shoveling handfuls of guitar picks from an extra-large sack into his mouth, crunching and grinning, blood dripping from splinters of plastic stuck in his gums, Don't forget to moisturize!, he giggles, smiling extra wide

gray bone-ache morning

Chicago Basement Style

remember that thing you did where the whole box of treats got spilled all over the floor? you could probably do that again if you wanted to..

I'm selling some instruments on Reverb, mostly Eurorack modules at the moment. If that's something that interests you check out what I have for sale at my shop here: reverb.com/shop/crank-s... More items will be going up for sale later as well..

If you enjoy the sounds I make, I could really use a few sales this week. I've discounted my digital discography on Bandcamp by 80% for a little while. That's 119 releases for just a bit over $50. I also have a few physical media items for sale there as well, tapes, CDs, scores if that's your thing

most of the sound I have made over the years can be found here: cranksatori.bandcamp.com experimental electronics, concrete, drone, noise, strange speech synthesis, field recordings, free improv and numerous combos of all of the above at the same time. links to a few recent albums follow..

💯

always dig hearing what new forms Jim's music takes, it's a wild ride.. no surprise this new one is a ripper

hate to tell you this but a lowball offer *and* changing the shipping to the exact amount of the postage to the penny you think it would cost to mail the item to you is the exact way not to *try to get a deal*

I've listed more than 200 7"s on my discogs page in the past few days. check it out if you like 90s stuff, punk , noise, rock www.discogs.com/seller/trust...

doing #CDFriday on CAS Sunday twentyfour year old CDr still plays did what it says on the tin.. got us *gas money* to fill the tank of a Lincoln Continental stuffed with six noise dudes and their laptops so they could get to a fest in Baltimore and back to Chicago

other nice bit from last night's gig - Mrs. Hands' looping the incoming call ring through a tiny loose speaker driver bouncing on top of a call of duty disc case & sounding like the inversion of my folk's old military-lifer neighbor who had the PA on his back porch that played Reveille every morning

model for living right there in a single pic

A shard of Melon's ceramic instrument landed in my lap last night at the show. Looks like a nose.

pardon my synth nerd here but I love how this person designed this little delay. a simple thing, but no built-in feedback is frankly brilliant. you have to patch it. actually thinking modular and not just shoving a pedal behind a panel youtu.be/pdzMC6afrHY?...

💀Depression Is The Bastard💀

just knocked over the entire jumbo size box of cat treats onto the floor. Bert is in absolute heaven and is currently trying to block me from picking up as many of them as he possibly can

west sun is so bright I gotta wear shades to do the dishes

oh this is nice maybe I'll just play this slowly evolving subtle thing tonight... [turns knob and a million skittering metal spiders zip across the room] <grins way too wide> [shrug]

sighs in yet another breathless "world's first!" art/music puff piece. . . <taps sign> THERE IS ALWAYS PRIOR ART
