Sold shoes for a lady who only really spoke Spanish. I really appreciate how most Spanish speakers get excited to help you learn and get better at speaking. I still only have the basics so having someone be so responsive and validating when you are trying out a new skill is immensely valuable.

Since we're all meeting the kind of employee coming out of Palantir with the DOGE squad, I'm reminded of the guy I knew in college who went there. He was taking a fifth year of college b/c he believed they'd still issue him a degree despite taking no gen eds. Got to spend an extra $20k to fix that.
