crashonline.org.uk/03/news.htm “The 4th February saw thousands queuing to get into the ZX Microfair at London’s Ally Pally Pavilion, proving again that this jolly one-day microaffair continues to be a big hit with Spectrum owners no matter what the glossy magazines say.”

Living Guide crashonline.org.uk/03/lguide.htm “After consulting several of you at the 10th. ZX Microfair we have decided to split the guide up into two sections, each printed alternate months.” (This feature ended after issue 4.)

News Input crashonline.org.uk/63/news.htm CRASH's April Fools didn't land too well. This one is so dry you can barely tell it's a joke, whereas Danny the Duster makes it obvious in every sentence that it's a joke, and so it doesn't land.

Death Star Interceptor crashonline.org.uk/15/dthstar.htm “I saw this game some time ago on the CBM 64 (by the same company) and there isn’t the slightest doubt that the Spectrum version is far superior (nothing to do with petty inter-computer jealousies either).”

Lunar Jetman crashonline.org.uk/15/jetman.htm

Also, Alien review crashonline.org.uk/15/alien.htm “Alien is a hard game to win at, I thought I’d done really well after a single two-hour game, to get one member of the crew off in the escape shuttle with the cat — but I scored 0%!”

I was only ever aware of Paul McCartney's Give My Regards to Broad Street because of those full page adverts in old computer magazines. Always been curious whether the film bombed first and Mind Games picked up the licence cheap as a result or if it was an expensive disaster for everyone involved!

Head Over Heels Deluxe is out now! www.youtube.com/watch?v=czeH...

On FOFT: “The bad news is that the manual is atrocious, saying little about the intricacies of the game and being altogether too vague. At 26 pages long it’s woefully inadequate.” Even a 2-page manual would be an unimaginable luxury these days. (Edited 8:47 via @skeetsapp.com)
