I cannot tell you how proud I am of the college students who struggle to write. When I read a paper that clearly needs work but also clearly demonstrates that the student cares, I want to help that student. I tell students I give comments because I care. I thank them for letting me be of service.

Premium Economy on China Air is well above Economy. Too bad it's only for the short leg of my trip (3 hours), not the long leg (14 1/2 hours), but making the short leg comfy still counts. Straight-up economy for the long-haul is a bit brutal, but for the price I'm not too spicy over it.

I have not fully achieved what I wanted to achieve in my career (more on that later), so I'm not moving. I'm not gonna front, my bank account also says it's not time. 🤣 Chile/Argentina/Uruguay are next. Thailand goes on the "visit again" list. Maybe I can convince people to join next time. :D

I've been talking to expats and locals who like to talk to expats. They're all like "Naw, just move here. No need to wait if you have the means." They also Thailand can be paradise or hell, depending on a person's vices and materialistic drive. I definitely got that impression too.

If life goes down in a catastrophic way, I have a couple backup plans (given I still have the physical/mental ability to act on them). I always think of backup plans and contingencies. Doesn't mean I'm going to act on them. I think moving to Thailand might be a preferable backup to Japan. 🤔

The air quality was pretty bad today. Decided to not go out tonight. I'm fine, though my eyes are irritated. I have heard numerous times that the bad air quality is not to be taken lightly here. I will back that. AQI is currently 168. It'll get better soon at least.
