I've played every Assassin's Creed game except Syndicate and I never finished Unity, Mirage, or Odyssey. And I got that itch to bring it around and start at the beginning again. Assassin's Creed Revelations is, imo, the high water point of the series. Yes, Black Flag is one the greatest Pirate games ever created, but it was a real push away from the series' core. Nothing else quite captured the feel of Assassin's Creed quite the same way.

One of my biggest gripes with modern Assassin's Creed games, specifically Odyssey and Valhalla, is that the combat just feels wrong. Playing Brotherhood now and the combat is so smooth once you get the hang of it, it feels great, whereas in Odyssey it was just a slog, with little to no finesse.
