My MAGA dad hung up on me after a conversation (I think, on Monday) in which we fought about Trump. He and my brother think I am brainwashed/ have “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” I write about it b/c it’s painful but also in case others who have experienced this need to know they are not alone.

Arggh. I am watching CNN tonight while grading papers. Now they have a panel with guests including Chris Sununu, former governor of New Hampshire, known for years of slashing cuts to public education. However, I am benefiting from hearing the back-and-forth between Democrats and Republicans.

I am watching the CNN town hall. Hayes (D-CT) is killing it! She has passion, empathy and a brain. Lawler (R-NY) mansplaining how we should be so grateful to Elon Musk: cut, cut, cut. McKenzie (R-PN) gaslighting a laid off gov worker that we’re moving toward the Golden Age. Goebbels-worthy.

If the Trump administration is so concerned about anti-semitism, what about discrimination against other groups (LGBT, POC, women, disabled people). It’s only anti-semitism that they say that they care about — all other groups are already equal, supposedly.
