I've been watching comfort shows lately. Two of my favorites are on Netflix: Lennox Hill and Emergency NYC. Dr. David Langer (a neurosurgeon featured in both) guideshis staff through a mindfulness exercise before they begin each surgery. I find myself doing the breathing exercise, too. 😁

I just sat and listened in on the telephonic Town Hall Congressman John Garamendi held for his constituents. I was only able to listen for about a ½ hr. The call was very doom and gloom, a rehashing of all the awful things that are going on, and repeated words of "Republicans are in control". 🧵

It's easy to be scared right now. That is what they want. Breathe. Trust in the community fighting. Trust in your ability to be creative and come up with solutions. Focus on one thing at a time. Find supports, even online. Seek out resources. (Reddit, Substack, here- great communities.)

The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again.
