I had a player who simply wanted to bee keep. No trauma or complex backstory. There’s still nuance as an ever positive protector of nature who had to keep facing difficult situations as an adventurer. Do you save the derailing train or the school group crossing the road in front of it? #d&d #dnd

I had a player character who said “I’m not creative, can I have amnesia and you write my backstory?” So as GM I made it seem he was a slave trader, lots of notes slipped in his pockets for shady shipment arrival dates and rendezvous points. He thought he was a bad guy. (1) #d&d #dnd #roleplay

My favourite piece of advice given to me as a GM is “stay silent”. If you have players who love roleplay then I highly recommend! “Here’s a setting, now what would you like to do?” Say nothing else. 🤐 Humans have a weird desire to fill silences, so let them. #dnd #d&d #roleplay #dmtips (1)
