Times like these...

Now...

My story, “Scratch” kicks off tonight’s @creepypod.bsky.social episode. Gotta be careful when petting strays 🖤 #horrorpodcast #audiodrama #horror open.spotify.com/episode/3klv...

Tonight...

Come see me contain my excitement as I co-moderate with Michael Roffman of the Halloweenies podcast for a Lost Boys Reunion, a Re-Animator reunion, talk to wrestler Vampiro, AND talk modern urban legends with @creepypod.bsky.social & @pacificobadiah.com bloody-disgusting.com/news/3852048...

The GOAT is back! #bjj www.instagram.com/reel/DFNcN7n...

Writing is hard. Props to anyone out there who wrote a "terrible" book or screenplay. The fact that it exists and that you didn't give up is something to be extremely proud of.

This might be some of the simplest and best advice I've ever seen

Looks like I will be on a few panels at Creep I.E. Con in Ontario, California Jan 31 to Feb 2nd. Look for me at the: - Urban Legends panel - Scream 4 panel - Terrifier 3 panel I'll be working with @pacificobadiah.com, @scareyoutosleep.bsky.social, The Boo Crew, and Halloweenies podcasts.

The #Horror I Love #9: Twin Peaks (season 1) Adding to the David Lynch (RIP) posts, I wasn't sure how to word this one, so I'll keep it simple. I've never watched a David Lynch creation and thought "I could do that". His voice and vision were beyond unique and continue to freak me out.

Now...

Tonight... #podcast

Tis the (cold and flu) season for this #bjj reminder: if you are sick, or feel like you are getting sick - STAY HOME. Training sick can impact a lot of people's lives. Take a rest day(s). The mats will still be there. NO ONE is impressed by seeing sick, snotty, coughing people rolling Thank you

The #Horror I Love: #8: Resolution (2012) I'm a sucker for anything @justinhbenson.bsky.social and @aaronmoorhead.bsky.social turn out, but this is my favorite. The relationship between Michael and Chris are two of the best I've ever seen on screen. Tense, bleak, and suspenseful I love it so much!

The #Horror I Love: #7: Censor (2021) I just don't see enough people talk about this one. The pacing, atmosphere, no hand-holding, Video Nasties, and that ending...I love the ending so much. I have seen anything by the writer/director since, and it makes me sad. I can't wait to see what's next

You should be listening to @observableradio.com

The #Horror I Love: #6: Salem's Lot (1975, novel) As much as anything, it's how King nails small-town life (the suspicion, gossip, etc) that I adore Horror always hits me harder when the people and places feel authentic. Characters that you feel like you've met elevates any story. Not caricatures

The #Horror I Love: #5: The Vigil (2019) One of my favorite movies in recent memory. No hand holding, love the use of Orthodox Judaism, gorgeous cinematography, sustained tension and "wait, what did I just see?" moments. This is absolutely my wheelhouse.

Now...

The #Horror I Love: #4: @thenosleeppodcast.bsky.social Still the gold standard in horror audio. This podcast got me through some really hard times and was there when horror changed from entertainment to catharsis to a career. I STILL listen to Butcherface any time I go to the airport to relax.

Tonight...

The #Horror I Love #3: Yellowjackets. From a storytelling perspective this is the greatest thing since Lost premiered. Brilliant writing, pacing, reveals, lack of exposition. This could go down as one of the all-time great series by the end.

Creepy stories to distract from stressful times. youtube.com/watch?v=GgHv... This one makes my heart happy. @creepypod.bsky.social

The Horror I Love: #2: Deadstream (2022) I won't only post found footage, but this has to be up there. I love horror/comedy and Vanessa & Joseph Winter (star) perfectly combine the cringe of YT content creators with a fun and surprisingly tense piece of pure entertainment.

With the world literally on fire, I shall devote my time focusing on the things I love. Specifically, the Horror I Love. #1: Hell House, LLC. Not my all-time favorite horror, but the one I've watched the most. Simple found footage done well. A haunted haunted house. No over explained. Just fun.

Okay, I'm finally sitting down to watch Kolchak: The Night Stalker tv series and...damn. this is weird as hell. I'm impressed it got picked up by a network. Hollywood used to be cool

Remember when the news used to run stories about people dressing up like super heroes and fighting crime? It was a simpler time

It's gonna take me a while to clean up my feed. Basically just another platform for people to talk politics on when all I want are recipes for southern food and horror movies.

Me: *leaves FB and Threads because of Zuck* Me: *joins #BJJ* All BJJ channels: Zuck, Zuck, Zuck, Zuck, Zuck, Zuck... Damn it.

I'd be happy to move over here completely from FB and Threads IF ONLY @bsky.app WOULD UPDATE THEIR APP SO IT CAN BE USED ON AN ANDROID. I STILL CAN'T LOG IN ON THE APP!!! Do that many people really just use this on their computers?

Okay, I don't know what's going on this year, but I need to say something. Any writers submitting to the show who are impolite, snarky or just plain mean will immediately be blacklisted from future submissions. A little basic civility goes a long way.

How can you tell if someone is an introvert? Don't worry, they'll mumble it to themselves, then walk away without saying anything and spend the next 10 years overanalyzing the entire situation.

Now... www.creepypod.com/episodes/202...

Our podcast network, Bloody FM (@bloodyfm.bsky.social) had a network growth of +139% listeners, +128% streams, and +44% followers in 2024, with 1688 published episodes! Some of our biggest shows this year were @creepypod.bsky.social and @scareyoutosleep.bsky.social! #SpotifyWrapped

More awesome news! My latest short story, Observations From the Passenger Seat of a Lime-Green Lamborghini, is available to listen on the Creepy Podcast! Check out this weird tale of crypto bros and eldritch horrors. @creepypod.bsky.social

Can someone explain how the algorithm works here so I can stop seeing political posts? All I want is horror, cooking videos, dogs, and babies laughing.

I try to stay positive on social media, but in the off chance they are actually paying attention: PLEASE FIX YOUR APP @bsky.app! Can't log in on android, keyboard only appears for a fraction of a second, had a year to fix it and still nothing. Definitely impacts how much I'll be here

Said no one ever when I show up at a party

Okay, I'm here now too...
