Every once in a while, I think about when I was chopping down Scottish thistle. A bird had made her nest under the stalks at the base; after I popped the thistle out, I was greeted by an image of carnage that I'm not sure I'll ever fully forgive myself for.

My baby is in surgery, he's getting his testicles removed. It's the most low-risk, routine procedure he could be having, but it suuuuucks to sit around the house waiting for word to come through. I miss him. Hope he's doing alright.
