KID ICARUS NINTENDO R&D1/ TOSE 1987 NES

The new GOP slogan (thank you, Joni Ernst.)

NO ETHICAL CONSUMPTION UNDER CAPITALISM DESU!! BAKA!! DATTEBAYO!!!

NOW— Mass ICE arrests happened/are happening at the Manhattan immigration court at 290 Broadway on the 20th floor. I was just outside the building and an observer came out crying, confirmed they witnessed people getting detained outside courtrooms while families watched and wept.

Kind of obsessed with this cartoon now that I know we can't watch it. Experiencing the one episode that still exists is bizarre. It's like a missing piece of The Real Ghostbusters. Same sound effects, same voice actors, it's like peering into a completely different timeline.

Gonna go out on a limb and say the problem with young men isn’t that no one listens to them but that they have been conditioned by society to believe strength and power are masculine traits. With few exceptions they’ve been gender segregated to some extent since they were children.

Let's all love Lain 💚 #SerialExperimentsLain #lowpoly

These are both great acts of kindness. One of many things people from less-dense areas don’t understand about NYC is that they’re ignoring you to be nice.

Hey y’all! I am an award winning and prolific comics artist and illustrator and I’m currently looking for work! Please share! It’ll help me a lot!

This thread would be shorter and more to the point if the 3rd way types just said “we’re mostly older white guys and we’d have compromised on civil rights in the 60s too.”

This is a general leftism/liberalism problem I cannot repeat this shit enough. Elitism poisons us. Meanwhile a foundational part of the reactionary right is to convert people by any means necessary, including force and manipilation. We are too quick to ostracize

The most inspiring story in music is from 1984, when an R&B singer named Ray Parker Jr. got a call out of the blue saying, "We need a song that sounds EXACTLY like 'I Want a New Drug' by Huey Lewis, but it has to be about ghost cops arresting ghosts" and he sent them a finished track 48 hours later

had a lot of fun trying out Animation Paper on stream! @animationpaper.com it's a very intuitive, no-nonsense frame by frame animation program that i'd love to play around with more. and right now it's free!

nostalgic for the golden era of something awful — the groverhaus thread, the goon island fiasco, the summer camp zip line guy, the In 20 Years You Will Commit A Political Assassination Hypnosis Megathread,

watch as a bunch of despicable cowards pretend they never posted in whatever “fyad“ is

Cat tax

Crash Twinsanity ad (2004) #retro #art #gaming #CrashBandicoot

Nostalgia in politics can work for more than one thing, it doesn't only have to be a guy saying "Don't you miss being racist" it could be a different guy saying "Remember when people had pensions"

I'm only 10 minutes into this 90s anime & they hit me with this.

I like when 80s artists had to basically guess what characters were suppose to look like. Here's Sumi Arisaka's depiction of Samus that predates her official designs. From: Metroid: Zebes Invasion Order (メトロイド ゼーベス侵入指令 (Part of the Famicom Game Book Series.)

I propose we extend “fuck you and the horse you rode in on” to “Fuck you, the horse you rode in on, and whatever trail brought you here”. Idk it’s just nice to be all-encompassing

a terrible thing about the last ten or twenty years of comics is seeing how many massive talents are still with us and in poor health, dying young, forever freelancers that gave their physical health to make things that now fuel the biggest blockbusters ever. It’s not right.

"I want to support indie creators, but I dont have the money for it." Good news! Support is not at all limited to financial contributions! Give that book a glowing review. Invite your friends to play that cool game. Hoot and holler about how much you love that movie. Hype the good shit up!

"Both modern evidence and ancient wisdom warn: Privatized protection is not a true solution. It is a symptom of imbalance," Maggie Bowman writes.

This is very much the sentiment I’ve heard. There is so much self-destruction in left/liberal messaging caused by smugness and elitism being held over people with less access to resources. People looking down on those with less because they can’t imagine that there are people WITH less

Libs and lefties smugly point at education/reading levels as the reason for reactionary thinking. Like wow, so much smarter. And wonder why everyone hates us. My mom didn’t pass HS, she hates fascists. I barely made it out with a D average. Same with my brother. And most people I grew up with.

Not only was the promise not kept, it’s like it never happened. We get it, there aren’t enough votes to pass real reform. Most of us are pragmatic—but to just drop it completely? To stop even talking about it, like it’s been erased? That’s the part that hits the hardest for me.
