Statement on the EHRC ‘guidance’. The EHRC ‘guidance’ put out at 10pm last night is a bigoted attempt to segregate trans people in public spaces. It is almost certainly unlawful. transactual.org.uk/blog/2025/04...

Please be patient with the trans and non binary people in your life atm. If they're extra snappy or short or tired or sad. Just be there and don't take it personally. This is exhausting and leaves little emotional bandwidth for much else stress currently.

Tomorrow, a team of 15 of us will take on a 22.7-mile walk from Glasgow to Balloch to help refugees & asylum seekers here in Scotland. Please keep your fingers crossed that it's not bucketing down the entire time 😂🤞☔️ Any change donated would be incredible too!! Thank you!! ❤️🫶 shorturl.at/m9ZP8

Remember: Pride is a protest.

So. I have been on TV and radio a lot lateely, It is important, though, to know when to turn stuff down. Was due on BBC 5 Live about 20 minutes ago. Was set up as me discussing how trans people were coping, impact of the SC ruling, etc. with an employment expert....

Timeline cleanse

Just found out that Graham Linehan is being charged with damaging a trans person's property and non-violent harassment and will appear in court on May 12th. (Obviously, these are ongoing proceedings, which carry the presumption of innocence, so mind how you comment.

I lost my family and friends because the only other option was not being here. Yet I went on and created a life for myself. And now they're trying to rip that away, and for what? Because they're disgusted by our existence. Tell these fascists to fuck off. They're the ones who shouldn't be welcome.

The Supreme Court’s decision last week will not make anyone safer, cis or trans. We believe it’s placed the UK in breach of its obligations under the Human Rights Act. Join our challenge:

It’s a hell of a time to be organising a trans and enby-only production of Twelfth Night in London, but it’s also a perfect way to turn my anger into joy and community!

The new EHRC interim guidelines are legally wrong, bigoted and a huge overreach. Write to your MP (again?!). Expose all this for what it is. We have updated our thoughts on what you might say to MPs in your email. KEEP WRITING! KEEP SHARING! www.translegalproject.org/post/urgent-...

A good friend who acts as my sleep police just asked me 'why don't you sleep' in exasperation. I can't. And part of it is because I'm angry at this fascist country I live in that insists on making it hard for me to live.

At a time of unprecedented awareness of the Trans+ community, we have never been more misunderstood 👇 https://www.wearequeeraf.com/visibility-is-nothing-if-we-dont-translate-it-into-understanding-lets-reclaim-it/

I've noticed Geographers have been quiet about what's been happening to trans people in the UK right now. Can't say I'm surprised.

Which traditional progressive value will this non-labour government ditch today? They've already decided segregation is ok. And if they endorse baroness fuckner's latest nonsense, they are also ditching free association. Because associations of women will be barred from including trans women.

And make no mistake - that is because this right-wing Labour govt is transphobic, ableist, racist, xenophobic and all the rest.

The government has a huge majority in parliament. It sets the law, not the Supreme Court. It could, if it wanted to, pass new laws to ensure trans people are respected in their gender. The government is actively choosing not to, and is instead supporting the most transphobic reading of judgement.

If you see any Labour MPs or councillors, chase them away. They're not welcome at Pride.

To everyone going to protests today, stay safe, and remember to use the day not just to shout at the government (though that is important) but to also forge new links and strengthen your mutual aid and solidarity networks. There's strength in community 💪 On the same note, do say hello if you see me

Someone i know pointed out that the EHRC's guidance to restrict trans people from accessing single-sex spaces was timed to hit headlines for lesbian visibility day, so the announcement can seem to be seen as a victory for trans-exclusionary lesbians. www.equalityhumanrights.com/media-centre...

Absolutely, and just to add - insist that trans voices are included without having to do bullshit point/counterpoint shit with Arabella Terfington-Smythe

Time is of the essence and we need to fight the EHRC interim guidance before it becomes statutory and Parliament make it law. Don’t just shout about it, write to them. Also tell the media, if you can get them to care. I’ve posted this on Instagram. Speak to your unions and staff networks at work

Another reminder to trans people - if you're able to, now is an *extremely* good time to update or renew your NHS records, driving license, and/or passport. Better safe than sorry.

Hello my friends❤️ I am ashamed of you and I apologize for asking you for help. In reality, my family still needs you and your support. We are homeless and suffer from extreme hunger. ♦️I hope you will extend your hand to my family and help them by donating a little and sharing gofund.me/510eb780

🆕️🚨 To comply with last week's Supreme Court ruling the EHRC has said UK public single-sex spaces should segregate Trans+ people, and create new mixed-space bathrooms and changing facilities for them to use www.wearequeeraf.com/interim-ehrc...

The EHRC guidance breaches both articles 8 and 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Article 8 protects the right to respect for private and family life, including gender identity and personal dignity. Article 14 prohibits discrimination in the enjoyment of those rights.

The government has published no evidence to suggest that cutting disability benefits will get people back to work. The evidence it has published found that these cuts would plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. I’m joining @trusselluk.bsky.social in calling on the gov’t to rethink

This is a repeat of the Cass Report, where the contents or saliency of the propaganda piece don't matter; its utility as a cudgel and as an excuse is what's really important to these ideologues.

This week on the podcast, we ask “How can you keep going and making art in the face of The Horrors? How can you live in a cold, cold of political repression?” And we watch a movie about that very thing!
