I know, if people understood what’s possible the world could be a very different place.

Modern Monetary Theory is great for understanding what our world could be.

Thanks for you well worded, detailed and reasoned response. I think the squad we have had with injuries is capable of doing better than we have done. team selections of available players and in game management is poor. Most of the games we have lost I think we have had better players on the pitch.
comment in response to

But surely you recognise that anges tactics and lack of rotation early on massively contributed to the injuries.

I think it’s more the tactical set up, we have some really good players and it’s easy to say they are flaky. Ange has been getting the line ups, in game changes and in game management wrong all season. I don’t see a group of players not trying, I see a group of players without direction.

The points the charts and stats make is that it has equalled on pitch Succes

No one’s giving you both barrels, just trying to point out the obvious flaws in your arguments. Who would you like to run the club?
comment in response to

Arsenal and Liverpool have always won more than us, and are bigger clubs. That’s the point. The way you compete with them is by doing what levy has done. Off pitch success equals on pitch success, as we have seen in the past 10 years

You will always be unhappy with this outlook of football unless you support a state run club…

Yeah, he has created all the conditions for us to win. And we nearly have. It’s not his fault we have been beaten by teams who are objectively better than us in one off games. All of the metrics presented prove that argument.
comment in response to
post
Yes exactly, the being made is it really hard to win trophies. He has put us in the best possible chances of winning trophies and it isn’t his fault we didn’t get over the line. He has provided to conditions for us to win,for whatever reason we haven’t and that’s not on him.
comment in response to

The point is that only 5 clubs win trophies. Under levy we have been to multiple quarter, semi and finals only to lose to teams who outspend us. Teams we should not expect to beat. Every other measure apart from trophies has been a huge success. He can’t control one off games.

Doesn’t seem like you understood what he said. He answered your questions in the thread.

The clubs original name is Tottenham Hotspur FC? Tottenham is an area in Haringey.

What is the point?

Why?
comment in response to

You seem to be mad enough to post about it. Is it so weird for the club to ask for the correct name to be used in the media? They are not stopping fans calling it whatever they want.
comment in response to

And especially when they wave poster of Daniel levy with antisemitic slurs all over them. They wanna have their racist cake and eat it too.

I find it strange that the main stream media then publish these images without comment of the undertone.

Thank you soooo much for referencing the antisemitic undertones of the anti Levy narrative. I find its absence in the general discourse very worrying and once again the extra inch has balanced and intelligent takes. I love you guys and keep up the good work.

He is called stingy but has spent huge amounts on the stadium and transfers. He has made some bad footballing decisions but they aren’t to do with money as most of the Levy out supporters will say. The imagery of the banners is problematic and would be called out more if he was another minority.
comment in response to
post
I will be shouted at for saying this but I think there of lots of antisemitic undertones to the hate for Levy. He has objectively been one of the best owners in the league, no club has made the same progress from where we were to where we are and it’s all been done sustainably.
comment in response to
post
It’s funny that you keep saying you aren’t an antisemite and yet continue to say more antisemitic things.
comment in response to
post
I have only responded with names to you because you tried ti shout me down rather than address the issues raised. Again, please research Jews and money.
comment in response to
post
I didn’t make the antisemitic stereotypes around Jews and money. I have made very valid points and rather than address them you have tried to gaslight me.
comment in response to
post
The ‘lens’ of being a persecuted minority? I hope one day you can listen to a minority raising discrimination rather than trying shout them down so you feel better. You should do some research into the stereotypes about Jews and money, you may think differently.
comment in response to
post
I appreciate your response, much more respectful and friendly than most of the others I get when I raise this stuff. It’s very refreshing
comment in response to
post
I don’t think it’s necessarily conscious, more the general view of Jews and money. And it’s more the imagery that feels unnecessary to make the point. Also that it doesn’t get called out as I think it would with other minorities.
comment in response to
post
lol, I’m not sure you know what he cares about more. An assumption you have made that is also antisemitic. Our behaviour to similar clubs has been the same. We have been in more semi finals and finals than arsenal in the same time and spent similar amounts of money. I think you mean subjective.
comment in response to
post
You were unnecessarily rude with your ‘push back’. You could have opened a respectful dialogue about the issue but you decided to throw insults. It’s ok, I get it, you don’t like Jews.
comment in response to
post
It’s really nice when a minority speaks up about racism to say they are bullshit instead I listening to them.
comment in response to
post
I’m saying that objectively looking at the figures, he’s spend money. The issue is his footballing decisions, so why does money have to come into it?
comment in response to
post
And don’t get me started at the use of the word Y*d at the stadium. It’s a deeply offensive word and non Jews have no right to ‘reclaim it’. They have no room for racism banners at the stadium but there is room for racism against Jews.
comment in response to
post
So if it’s not a case of money but that he makes bad footballing decisions, why do they insist on putting money symbolism on the posters? There is a stereotype that his is stingy, which is antisemitic. We spent loads of money on conti and mourinho.
comment in response to
post
We have reduced it a lot from Kane leaving and some others but I’m sure will go up again. We have signed young high potential players who start on lower wages. Will go up. The issue with levy isn’t about spending money, he is amazing and generating massive revenue that makes the club sustainable.
comment in response to
post
Firstly they have put a Jewish man’s face on posters with money symbolism which is a very common antisemitic trope. Objectively the issue isn’t about spending, as you have shown we have a high transfer spend and spend a lot of money on the stadium. Our wage expenditure is sustainable.
comment in response to
post
I find it incredible that people don’t see the antisemitic undertones of all these banners with levy surrounded with money symbolism.

For me the main questions over Ange are his team selections and in game management. As soon as Sarr and Johnson came on we looked so much worse. I think Bissouma and Oderbert coming on instead we would have got a second. Then he could rest Maddison, son etc

Will there be a recording of the show instead of the main pod this week? Sad to have missed it!
comment in response to

You think the way he is portrayed in the media has nothing to do with being Jewish? Objectively where he has taken the club since taking over, in football terms, he is probably top 3 chairmen in the league. And has done that without investing any money.
comment in response to
post
So many antisemitic stereotypes pushed in this video. ‘Good with money’ ‘capitalist conglomerate’ pictures of levy out with a £ for the E. my favourite bit was the article that wasn’t sourced but is probably right. Basically Jew owns club, everyone hates club because it’s known as Jewish.

Do you think Spence could be quite a good option at rw? Great dribbler and can beat his man.

When you are spurs, every home game you go to racist chants are sung by the whole stadium and nobody seems to care.

Also bissouma is a great number 6, just doesn’t play the right players around him.
comment in response to

Spence is doing a great job, I actually prefer him to Udogie. Gray has been outstanding and should be our 3rd choice centre back. Which winger would you like us to sign? Terrible market at the moment.

Nice use of antisemitic stereotypes. Let’s keep that type of language off Bluesky shall we? Save it for the other place.
