Glenn always made the most season to me for the #Jets. 1) Former player w/ team 2) Culture guy 3) Was everything the fans thought they wanted with a Rex return Just made too much sense.

Yeah, this does feel a little spoiled child take after the #Mets signed Juan Soto. It just feels like they still have too many ? on their roster for a team that was two wins away from the WS last year.

Not calling that timeout after hitting the first play wasted their ability to have two more plays at the end. Just awful clock management.

I need today's performance to be the official end of the 'Bring Aaron Rodgers back' campaign. #Jets

"Serious gap" between Alonso and the #Mets really just means that the Mets have played this market perfectly and Pete doesn't want to take a deal that's less than the extension they offer previously. As in, nothing new.

Latest BLEAV in #Mets pod with myself and @jfmckessy.bsky.social We cover: - OUR ACE COMING BACK - Pete Alonso's shrinking (and maybe non-existent market) - Walker Buehler signing with the #RedSox LISTEN: open.spotify.com/episode/2PDl...

Can you imagine if the #Mets steal Soto and then Crochet away from the Yankees in a matter of a few days?

Back to regularly scheduled programming: The latest edition of the Bleav in #Mets podcast with @jfmckessy.bsky.social and myself. - Clay Holmes is a part of the Mets rotation - What is next after signing Juan Soto? open.spotify.com/episode/4iYw...

Please, tell me more about how this wouldn't be worth it. #Mets

🚨EMERGENCY EDITION OF THE POD🚨 JUAN SOTO IS A FREAKIN NEW YORK MET @jfmckessy and I attempt to speak full sentences and react to the #Mets landing Juan Soto open.spotify.com/episode/7eRa...

I'm good with targeting Buehler and wanting a Manaea reunion. The others....I'll pass. There are better options out there.

I think I would have preferred the #Mets to try this out with Jeff Hoffman over Holmes, but I can't blame them for attempting this. Still need a true, frontline starter (maybe two) though.

What does an IDEAL Mets offseason look like? That’s what @crschube.bsky.social and I discussed in the latest episode of Bleav in Mets. And yes, we both included Juan Soto: youtu.be/F13tqZ-Z4Cs?...

But also, $22m AAV for Severino tells me we've got to adjust what we think this market looks like. Manaea, Fried, Burnes all going to get close to if not pass $30m AAV.

Good for Sevy. Played SUCH an important role on this team last year. Also good on the A's for spending money.

I've defended a lot of what Stearns has done and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But not sure I see why Montas at a $17m AAV was the play.

People are really showing that they don't understand how these deferrals actually work.

I'm going to give the 2024 Classic a chance to get me back into AEW, but that Blue League isn't inspiring confidence.

I'm already starting to feel the way I felt back in 2021 in the lead up to the Jets taking Zach Wilson. This time, I'm dreaming of the Jets ending up with Cameron Ward.

A quick *checks notes* "Yeah, Juan Soto is a GREAT baseball player"

Also, like I said the other day, there's a real decent chance you don't actually pay out the bazillion dollars because of opt-outs. If you can get Juan Soto for a four year window until he's 30 to try and win, you put however many zeroes are needed on the check.

This cycle happens for me like once every three months.

This is somewhat surprising. I thought Sevy was a lock to take that deal. Frees up some resources, opens up another hole in the rotation. Still think that Manaea is the more likely candidate to come back.

Can we break this down on the next pod, @jfmckessy.bsky.social ?

Is it cool to be a Cam Ward QB1 truther on this platform?

Oh it's an experience alright.

There's a lot being made of how much the final number is on Juan Soto's contract, whoever offers it. And I'm not really sure how much it's going to matter. The chances that Soto sees this next deal all the way through, WITHOUT opting-out would be a low probability outcome.
