Sudden thought: An altar for the speed tracker for Yidaro purposes.

Doing a proper comb through the history of commander decks built with the intention for paper that were physically built. UB Nashi hasn't been built yet but one of the four versions is going to be a reality eventually.

One component I _really_ like about brackets is that there is an objective measure of some of the contents of the deck that a Q&A can immediately and definitively answer. "What game changers are you playing?"

I can't wait to find out Nicol Bolas's presence spawns dragons tempests just like his twin brother.

I am suddenly realizing Day/Night Zirda is likely to get some new cards in the space set.

Struggling with Redshift more than I was expecting to given the surface level similarity to Zirda. It doesn't feel like you can just jam all your toys in there because you will run out of cost reduction without also adding power increase or untap effects. It wants its toys to also boost power.

I will have to actively remember that brackets won't tell me if I'm going to have fun playing with them, either due to their deck or to how they are as a person. But I know I'm absolutely going to forget that when sitting down for a game.

Thinking again about Redshift vs Zirda distinction. If Redshift is actively optimized for a 3-player game, I would choose to knowingly not play Chaos Wand when I otherwise would. That kind of optimization is, I think, a breadcrumb for what I should be doing with this.

It feels like I'm going to just end up building an endless number of Bracket 1 decks with more tutors than would otherwise be characteristic of the bracket.

Redshift feels meaningfully different from Zirda in the kinds of things that it encourages. A different power spikes and a different risk profile.

This is why I like tutor commanders. You get to build around a quirky card and just go in some wild direction.

I'm glad I had a chance to be exposed to sewing by hand as a kid. Picking it up again later in college to refresh concept and every so often after feels good as a way to resist consumption when something still works. Actively choosing thread colors that don't blend in as a reminder to reuse.

Magic gotta stop being Math: the Homework. Power doubling doesn't seem to be doing Riptide Mangler witchcraft but it still seems like it's locking in an equipment's buff even if the equipment is later destroyed.

As it turns out, Muraganda Raceway (and to a noticeably lesser extent Amonkeht Raceway) is a contender for 75 lands Cruelclaw. In 10% of games, you draw it before swinging and can get that free ramp to 8 mana the deck is looking for.

The most memorable use of stickers continues to be the Happy Eyeblight that died and learned me a lesson.

An Otter You Can't Refuse A horizons set? A Gavin event? Where would this show up?

A ton of new tools and options for Realms in this set. This doesn't even start to touch anything with cycling which are all great options in the right home. The biggest gains are the new optional artifact hate. This will make it that much easier to build artifact themes going forward.

Among the things I'm hyperfixating on today: Maleficent, Cruella, and 13's theme.

The Esika list that had all the out of game trackers had a mechanics blindspot for all the different mechanics that don't use trackers. Also was struggling to find an angle for a spells deck that I would actually enjoy.

Zirda is eating good this set.

Crested Sunmare finds the Celestus. Theme is strong.
