Final Fantasy VIII released 26 years ago [in Japan]. To me it still feels like one of the most unique entries in the series. Replaying the game as an adult, I can't help but see it as the satirical soap opera entry in the series and it makes me enjoy it even more. Also, Moombas!!

There will be very few times I break the act and post about other RPGs, but Breath of Fire IV is immensely important to me and I'm praying that BoFIV can make it to @gog.com. The two SNES games up on Nintendo Online Library, so I don't see a BoF bundle akin to Mega Man or Street Fighter happening.

Sephiroth VA Tyler Hoechlin says it was cool to play the hero in Superman and the villain in Sephiroth, being able to balance between the two of those. He says you need black and white for contrast so there were times when he'd do the voice of Sephiroth while filming. (1/2)

In FFVII LO and BC, Sephiroth voluntarily jumps into the Lifestream in Nibelheim. This was the official version of the event around the time of AC, and is even mentioned in the Reunion Files. However, fan outcry led to it being changed back to the OG version for CC. (IGN, 2008) #FF7 #FFVII #BCFF7
