Yesterday I had the first time pleasure to do LeetCode kind of coding challenges for an interview. Stuff like generate all valid parentheses, implement linked list and binary search. Please don't do this. If you must do coding, do something useful. Build an API. Write a query. But not this.

I had a lot of fun with Wake on LAN, drivers and generally networking today. And I blogged about it: blog.finxit.at/posts/2025-0...

It's time to start blogging again. First topic: What static site generator can one use to start a blog? Read about my experience here: blog.finxit.at/posts/2025-0...

I'm going to business hell for this one

First time I submitted a CfP (besides your local meetup group). Pretty excited tbh.

Our first .NET Meetup - What a blast! 🚀 We exceeded all expectations - there wasn't a single seat left in the room. Big thanks to our host and of course all participants ❤️ The recording will be available soon. See you the next time! #dotnet #meetup #csharp #community

I'm gonna be hosting my first #dotnet #Meetup today. Pretty excited!

Okay, hear me out: Did I just install Windows 11 for ARM on an M2 Mac as a virtual machine, to run an x86 Assembler, to run the compiled code in an x86 Emulator to execute it? Yes. Is it crazy, that that is actually working? Definitely, yes!

Today I had to fill claims for an insolvency procedure for one of my customers, as they declared insolvency two weeks ago. I asked one of my friends, who studied law, to join me. Did we end up in a pub eventually? Yes. Yes we did.

I just got a functional specification document as an rtf file. Send help please.

Got a support request regarding WPA3 support for a product, because security. Their Wifi password is something like WordFromDictionarySpecialCharacterRepeatingNumbersSpecialCharacter. No punchline.

I had a problem. After some analysing I found, that I missed the dot at the end of my DNS entry. IT IS ALWAYS DNS!

A friend of mine and me are reviving the .NET Meetup here in Linz, Austria 🇦🇹. Join us for our very first meetup!

Here in Austria, we have a "climate ticket" that is valid for most public transport in the whole country. It costs 1095€/y. I always thought, that it doesn't pay off for me, but I had it anyway for the convenience. Turns out, I used it for over 2200€ worth of public transport tickets in 2024.

It’s time for THE charger. Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU. It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need! #DigitalEU

"Why is there an emergency eye wash station in the team room?" "We do code reviews on Thursdays."

I've completed "Red-Nosed Reports" - Day 2 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2024/day/2 I should really wake up completely before reading the instructions 😅

Day 1 done ✨ #AoC #AdventOfCode

I'm so hyped for #AdventOfCode again

If #Spotify would stop locking my account and forcing a password change because of "suspicious activity", that would be great.

Today I had to say goodbye to my team, that I worked with for the past three years. E.T. goodbye, sad Pikachu and also Homer just disappearing into the hedge - we had all the gifs ❤️

Looks like #JetBrains learned from last year: Same day support for .NET 9 in #Rider blog.jetbrains.com/dotnet/2024/... #dotnet

Oh no, they are not even using ISO 8601 for date formatting. This will be a fun project.

I thought we agreed to stop using #SSL since *check notes* at least 2015?

Probably a long shot here: I'm leaving my current project and I'm looking for a new challenge for 2025. Freelancer. C#/.NET. >8 years experience. 3 years experience as a Tech Lead now. Did lots of software architecture too. If you are interested, feel free to contact me 😊

Today I did that thing I was afraid of doing.

TIL: Google has a really nice easter egg if you search for "Chicxulub"
