Ah that kind of patient. Thanks Duolingo for just dropping a word in on me with no context. Tålmodig: patient (As in waiting not as in sick person in a hospital as I had assumed) Also, English has a lot of very descriptive words and also several that could really use some clarification.

My stovetop has touch buttons built into it. Nice feature for cleaning. But of you spill something on that area the stove just turns off. With my cooking that’s a problem.

I know a guy whose business is to make things from Aluminum. He said his suppliers are already quoting 25% price increases to cover the tariffs. The tariffs don’t go into effect until March and may never become real, but he is having to pay now.

The Aluminum tariff is ridiculous. What are companies supposed to do? Magic up a domestic bauxite mine and build highly energy intensive smelters? Most of US domestic production has shutdown because it isn’t profitable.
